City had problems early last season but still ended up winning the league and went on a record breaking winning run. They've actually strengthened on last season too because they've only lost a striker who was barely available in the first place and gained Grealish.
Just the difference is the competition around them looks stronger. But Arsenal aren't one of those teams.

And it's exactly what you'd expect to hear and see from a club who just gave it's worst ever manager a contract extension of the back of it's worst ever season.
That's literally the definition of accepting defeat and not only accepting but ultimately also praising then handsomely rewarding defeat too. So it's no wonder that's the kind of thing being said.
It's not like the whole world doesn't see and know just how much of and utter disaster Arteta is so by not sacking him, the club's effectively already made a statement to the world that AFC accepts defeat before the season even starts let alone a matchday ball kicking.
Tbh, I never really got what Arteta's role was at City.
On TV is just looked like Pep was doing all the talking and Arteta was always nodding in agreement.

Spurs and Chelsea have shown a consistent set of tactics to defeat City. But I'm afraid a big chunk is also mentality, and the belief you can go there and get something. Arteta is probably setting up his team for damage limitation, so no I don't think we have a prayer.
Convieniently forgetting that we've beaten Spurs at the Etihad 4 out of the last 5 meetings whilst drawing the other game and who could forget the Carabao Cup Final when you Spurs didn't have a single shot on target.
