I’ve always said we won’t be winning leagues and Champions Leagues with Ole in charge, but he has done well and in the transfer market, generally, and when he leaves the new coach will be walking into a much, much healthier Manchester United than Ole did.
I know people talk about a DM but if you can’t at least challenge for trophies with Ronaldo, Cavani, Sancho, Rashford, Bruno, Varane etc then there’s something very wrong, imo.
If Ole doesn’t get us closer to the top and deep into the CL then he should go at the end of the season, it would have been nearly five years and 300 million spent and if not now, then when? Another year, two, three? Another 100 million, 150? 200?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you watch that mess of performance from Fred?! And Pogba in Ole's favoured CM pivot?! Fred is the cause of more fires than he actually extinguishes !
That is why we get over run because none of the combos work in a two. Ole is clueless in that respect and may end up being his downfall.
We were so fortunate today but how many games have we seen like that under Ole? Too many! The main difference today was we didn't concede and then didn't have to start a salvage operation.

It maybe worth a punt trying to tempt Daniel Farke, Graham Potter or Hasenhüttl into a number two spot.
The false hope of becoming a United manager one day might lure them.

You must be pretty stupid to think those managers would give up their managerial roles to play second fiddle to Ole!
It doesn't work like that.
Ole has assembled people he works well with. Phelan is very well known to him from his playing days and Carrick is a Utd legend and a trusted coach at the club.

Phelan is trusted by Ole.
What you are suggesting is stupid beyond reason. A manager doesn't give up their job to be no.2 to Ole or anyone. Their ambition is to excel as no.1 manager.

Phelan made his name as a no.2.. don't think he was that good as a no.1, same as Carlos Queroz or even Steve McClaren, although the latter had a go. They were all no.2s first and either excelled and stayed in the role or gave the no.1 role a go and failed or had relative success.
All those you named are ambitious and want to make a name for themselves, definitely not as a 2 though!
Yeah possibly, but I was just answering the question. Conte is a manager that could win us the league.

I don't even think Ole is that bad tactically really. He seems to set us up well in the bigger games. I think the main issue is in general skills such as coaching the team to pass better etc. We're just so slow at times and it's really frustrating seeing us play the ball to feet or behind when the proper ball is in front of a player to keep the momentum of a move.
The problem with Conte is that our squad is built around having wingers/wing forwards, but also a number 10 in Bruno. They can’t all coexist with the way he wants to have his team set up, so we’d have to ditch how we’ve gone about building our squad.
