Tanganga hasn't pulled up any trees at CB so far tbh. In all honesty I'd probably be more concerned about him starting than Sanchez or Dier.
Rodon is a good young player and one that I rate, but was overhyped last season.

Sanchez and Dier isn’t lasting mate. I think we all know it deep down.
Sanchez needs to be in there alongside Romero - think that could be a very strong partnership in a year or two. For once we look strong at Full Back

Yes, I’m happy we bought the right back
Don, Sanchez will 100 per cent be one of our CBs. Rodon has done nothing to prove he should be there, and I wouldn`t be surprised if he gets moved on by this time next season. Tanganga has not looked brilliant when he has played their, but may be his best position. Romero seems to think playing International Football is more important than playing for Spurs so will have to win his place back from Dier first.
Emerson/Tanganga
Romero/Sanchez
Dier/Rodon
Reguilon/Davies
good depth and variety at the back, on paper..

In other words, even you can see eventually one of them won’t be there. In your case, Dier.
I think long term it will end up Sanchez and Romero. However, these internationals are really going to fack us defensively.
I'm very critical of Sanchez and Dier generally, however, they are clearly looking a lot better now they are being coached and not constantly under siege. Was impressed on Sunday with how calm Sanchez was on the ball and even his long range passing was good. He is very slowly starting to win me over.
Rodon has barely played and not looked any worse than the others when he has.
Dier and Sanchez have done nothing to deserve to be dropped tbf to them. Way we are playing really limits their errors from last season. We should have enough games this season to give them all a fair run out, whilst also maximising consistency where we can.
Romero seems to think playing International Football is more important than playing for Spurs
Isnt Sanchez playing with Colombia also?
I see no one has mentioned Sess yet for left back.
I fear he will become surplus to requirements before the season ends. Really needs to up his game and start performing when given a chance.
Fulham took us to the cleaners.
At the moment the defence is sold no goals conceded in 3 PL games.
If its not broken don't fix it.
Sess can operate anywhere down the left side. Expect him to play all ECL games and in the league and FA cup early rounds.
Davies and Doherty to go next summer. Sessegnon is still only 21 isnt he?

Well long term Dier will probably go Don, as he is older, but at the moment, they are first choice, so if it aint broke don`t fix it should be the motto. Romero was obviously purchased to play, but I am not happy with his attitude, he seemed happy to go to a Red List Country at a drop of a hat, when he knows he will have to quarantine on return, so is obviously more interested in International Football than playing for Spurs. Pretty poor show from him really. Romero cannot just expect to walk into the first XI.
SO much about Sanchez' game is good. Pace, agility, tackling, heading are all good. His positioning is usually pretty sound too. His ability on the ball is poor, he makes the odd rash decision, and every now and then he does something to make himself look ridiculous.
If he could just get rid of that occasional clanger then he will be a decent CB without being outstanding. The irony is that although Jose was seen as a defensive coach, he did little to encourage and improve our defenders. You could see they lived in fear of a mistake and were punished if they did by being dropped. Sanchez had a decent run of form through the early spring, had an international break, then he came back and had a shocker vs NUFC. He was never played by Jose again. This will crush most players confidence.
Dier has less skills IMO - slower, less mobile. His ceiling is lower than Sanchez. Not sure if i imagined it but though he looked a bit leaner this season. He's looked like a bit of a rugby player for a few seasons now and he's become less mobile.
Rodon? God knows how good he is or isnt. Seem glimpses and no more at this stage.

When you think Sessegnon was 25mil (I think) and Jack Clarke was 10+mil (I think)🤯
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Add in Ndombele £60 odd million and Lo Celso whatever he cost, and Spurs were completely down up like a kipper on that transfer Window. Poch.
Don’t rate Tanganga at CB tbh
I remember when watching Sess at Fulham in the prem I didn't really get the hype. Still don't.
My only hope is he can blossom like Danny Rose did. I think LB is the only position he might become a good player in. He's not good enough as a winger to offer much threat.

Yep 21. He made his debut at 16. I would usually give young players the benefit of doubt but I just don't know what his best position is and in his last game he was not very good at all.
Still time for him to progress and get better. In an ideal world he can become a left back and understudy to Reg freeing up Davies to leave.
Nuno wanted to sign him at Wolves to hopefully he can work his magic on him.
reserving judgement on Sessegnon as hes still very young player really and could end up still being quality. Issue was the more pressing areas that needed addressing that werent, when we signed him.
