Does this affect us in any way? Assume this means they’ll be deported and will return earlier than expected which should make them available for games they’d have previously missed for us.

Feck em. I wouldn't be picking either of them. They knew going to a Red List Country was a risk, but still went. Totally irresponsible.

International football needs to be foocked off, it’s boring as shiiite and qualifying is pretty much a formality.
They shouldn't be over there and they're getting what they deserve but this seems pathetic from the Brazilian authorities. Who's running who? If the federal government's overruled this Anvisa mob they should be reigning them the fk in.
Fancy lieing about not being in England for two weeks.
Brazil probably got the hump that Argentina had premier league players available whereas Brazil didn't.
Gotta love South American football
The thing I find most annoying about this is that the Brazil players stayed out on the pitch, with the only possible intention being to increase the pressure on the authorities to give them a walkover victory. Whether you agree that they should be awarded the points or not, it's a pretty mortally questionable way of going about things and certainly isn't something they should look back on with pride.

So had they followed the rules, they knew they shouldn’t have even gone.
Now we’re missing them for a couple of games when it was unnecessary. Facking joke. Lo Celso couldn’t give a fack about Spurs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why just single out Lo Celso?
Apparently it was agreed they could play the first two games which included the big one against Brazil. But what was the point in this when it was impossible for them to do so? Should have been back here after one game. A big waste of time that means they have to go without training properly for 10 days.
I assume the score was 0-0 at the time the match was suspended?
I find this story hilarious. Shows the stupidity of International football breaks in the time of COVID.
What else could Lo Chelso and Romero have done?
Were their vaccination certificates not enough?

Neither could Romero. He is only on loan so would send him back as soon as his loan is finished.

Why did he sign a 5 year deal?
Oh yeah you filtered me after I schooled you again
The latest on Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso after last night's chaos in Brazil. Understand they and Davinson Sanchez will be fined by the club after Spurs agreed with the other PL clubs not to release their players to play in red list countries. https://t.co/YXILPYT96s Ali G

For facks sake. So in summary the club didn’t permit them to go, they went anyway not only going against club wishes, but then becoming embroiled in this farce. Romero has done all this to play 5 minutes of football. Sanchez got nutmegged in the build up to Paraguay’s goal. If they all leave now, they’ll miss the Palace and ECL game, and be available for Chelsea but unlikely to play due to not having trained properly for a fortnight.
What an absolute cluster fack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it's not great but the players were probably forced to go by their own country's FA. Can't blame them really.
The Villa keeper said they were due to go to Croatia today. Not sure about GLC and Romero however.
