For facks sake. So in summary the club didn’t permit them to go, they went anyway not only going against club wishes, but then becoming embroiled in this farce. Romero has done all this to play 5 minutes of football. Sanchez got nutmegged in the build up to Paraguay’s goal. If they all leave now, they’ll miss the Palace and ECL game, and be available for Chelsea but unlikely to play due to not having trained properly for a fortnight.
What an absolute cluster fack.

I did mention all this last week, but I got shot down in flames by posters saying they deserve to go and play for their country. It was so obvious this was going to end badly for Spurs.
Romero is not endearing himself to the fanbase by preferring to play for his country to Spurs, knowing he was travelling to a Red List Country, and there were liable to be problems.
If they continue to want to represent their country, you will get very little football out of this side of Xmas. Could only happen to Spurs.
Eric Dier will have to play every minute of every competition for the foreseable future I suspect.
It was a laughable fiasco last night , can't believe they managed to play for 7 minutes before being moved of the pitch.

I don't blame the players at all. They were told either come or you lose your place in the national team.
Wtf are the Argie and Brazil FA's doing either not knowing the rules or deliberately ignoring them? They should both be docked points for this fiasco. Have wasted a lot of people's time.
Very frustrating we're caught in the middle of it, with our best two CB's missing our next game. Thankfully Nuno is level headed and it shouldn't affect us too much.

This is surprising considering Brazils governments approach to covid
We should wait to hear the player's side of this story before condemning them.
They may have been caught between a rock and a hard place.....the club and their national football authorities and the medical surveillance authorities.
And I do not believe the story about them being fined....yet.
Their selection for national teams is worth a lot of money to them. Refusing is like shooting themselves in the foot.
We are going to need both Romero and Lo Celso this season.
oh yes and................I smell Bolsonaro behind all of this story....he could have stopped it if he wanted to.
