Might as well try Lindelof in Midfield. Will absolutely piesse off Matic though.

It really is. If there's a regulation that has been broken and there's a punishment attached, it needs to be applied consistently by the governing body, and not only if the national association is angry enough and only in relation to the clubs they decide to be angry with. As I understand, it was a Premier League decision, not individual club decision, so it should apply to all or none.
Imagine there's a bank heist, the thieves are apprehended and the bank asks for one of them to be excused prosecution because he has a savings account with them.
