And to think Harry Kane could’ve missed out on being part of this…

Sad as it is..Levy should be using this to get us a stadium sponsor and invest more money into the squad. They really having a mare on the naming rights.

Spurs didn't win though, the architects did, meaning Spurs still win nothing.

Also, it's nothing special as 53 others won the same thing.

That's like sharing a trophy with the rest of the PL clubs, all the Championship clubs & the SPL at the same time.

Liverpool didn't win the league, the playing staff engaged by the club did. It's the players and coaches trophy, not the club.

I think the sponsorship situation is a lot more complex than most people understand. And once you are in its long term. I think Levy is waiting for the right time and right partner to sign up. If you think about the possible NFL tie in then it really is very important to get the right name as the rights will be broadcast globally, beyond just football, and this exposure is worth a lot more. If we gained an NFL franchise then the sums of money would be off the chart compared to just PL sponsorships. So its the right deal at the right time, not just any deal.

It is an absolutely stunning stadium, which frankly has a more direct benefit to the fanbase than winning trophies.

I think this is the saddest comment I have read on 606, how sad must your life be to try and belittle an article clearly meant as a joke

We are also the greenest football club in Britain with our use of sustainable energies and materials etc across our operations, which is why we were chosen to host the zero carbon game. Personally I don’t give a fack about the environment, but if you’re a Greta Thunberg worshipping, virtue signaling, he/him woke pansy type then that might be sometime worth taking pride in.

"Personally I don’t give a fack about the environment"

In general terms, or specifically in relation to a football stadium?!

Over the moon for Spurs and the fans. Something for the trophy cabinet at long last.

The stadium will become a cash cow over the next decade or so. It will certainly elevate Spurs up the financial rung, and not a penny of it will be given to them by any oil state.

If so complex why have other teams done without the same delay. I think it's purely down to greed nothing else. We have know of the NFL and the stadium for over 5 years now.

Tbf the Spurs stadium has a lot more to it than the emirates, what Daniel Levy has done is remarkable.

It's an attraction all year round, it's a place to go even when Spurs aint playing, it has a brewery, food courts etc and that's not even including NFL or events.

All we need now is to win some trophies

I am not sure you can call trying to maximise Spurs' revenues as greed, this is business.

We do not know what offers have been on the table (if any) and whether its worth committing long term when something much better could be achieved in time.

If we did have greater NFL or a franchise happening then the sponsorship needs to be aligned. The wrong long term sponsor could hamper that.

No other club has had the same sort of tie-ups that Spurs have and are trying to develop.

We're going for the biggest pop stars, NFL, world title boxing matches, PL football.

With this in mind it is also the case that we have not been able to showcase the stadium fully yet. One lot of NFL, no gig, boxing cancelled. Its all happening this year but once you demonstrate the stadium will be more than 19 PL home games a season, then no doubt bigger and better deals will be available If we can add UCL exposure to that then our stadium (& its sponsor) will be beamed all over the world on a regular basis.

so your owner will get richer and not put anything back into trying to actually win something. you'll also get a first hand view of the slowest most boring game on earth, nfl hypeball.

Whilst I get frustrated with the level of investment sometimes compared to what United, City & Chelsea get it's bit of a myth that Daniel Levy doesn't invest in the first team.

No, it has always been the business plan that increased revenue generated by the stadium is to be invested into the team to increase our opportunities to play in the CL, which in turn generates more income as we found out when we announced record profits in 2019. Just because Anfield is a crumbling dump there’s no need to get tetchy.
