I'm not calling for Ole to be sacked. I don't think he will be anyway unless we go on a truly disastrous run. If he did leave though how about Luis Enrique? Thought he had Spain playing some decent stuff and they were just missing a really top class forward. He's managed big egos in the past too.

Ok.

I don't want him sacked. I want him to do better.

Sitting on the fence is OK sometimes whilst you consider all the evidence. Much better than sticking dogmatically to a view and keeping it even if circumstances change.

As long as MUFC finances remain relatively healthy, OGS has two more seasons. SAF got seven years.

Y’know, Im okay with that. Even if it wins us no trophies in that time. All I want to see is positive signs that the club is growing once more. When push comes to shove, is OGS showing me what I want`? Yes. So leave him be, for now. Remind yourselves of the number of managers we had between Sir Matt and Sir Alex. Did it win us trophies every year, during that period? Did we even avoid relegation during that period?

United’s history is destined to see eras of total dominance with deep troughs of wilderness in between.

Accept that it’s going to be quite a while before we’re THE Manchester United again.

Sorry to disappoint you DC but Ole will not improve us. He's taken us far as he's capable. In fact he's far exceeded my expectations, I thought he would have been gone sooner so credit to him for surviving this long.

when I think of Rodgers, I think of what he did with liverpool. Took them from being a laughing stock has been to a nearly there team. In fact he was doing a really good job at liverpool relative to his predecessors. Then Liverpool signed klopp.

I see a lot of similarities not in style but accomplishment between what rodgers did at liverpool before getting replaced and what Ole is doing at utd now. The main difference is that Ole has built a fantastic squad

He did a pretty solid job at Liverpool to be fair. If Gerrard hadn't made that mistake against Chelsea then they could well have won that title. Some going when you look at the money spend in comparison to City and Chelsea in the previous few years.

It is sensible and measured, but I can’t fault people for disagreeing with this part:

‘When push comes to shove, is OGS showing me what I want? Yes.’

We’ve won nothing (fine, it happens) and we rarely play well. With the players we now have, if the latter doesn’t change pretty soon I’ll be shuffling slowly and reluctantly (not to mention quietly) towards wanting him replaced.

I expect.... with the players we have now that when the new players bed in and I mean Sancho and Varane mainly, and Rashford comes back to fitness and form on that left hand side with Shaw and we sort out the Pogba situation (Iwould play Donny instead starting from Everton and if he wont accept the contract on the table then Pogba can feck off in January) and think that performances will get better.

Id play Sancho on the right. We didnt really need him with Mason, unloess the plan was to move mason into the middle but with Ronaldo, Cavani and Martial I think mason is a long way from becoming a genuine CF. Mason and Sancho will have to mainly share that RW role for the mean time. Rumours are that Cavani and Martial might not be around much longer .

posted on 1/10/21

I think before Ronaldo joined Greenwood had a great opportunity to play centrally this season along with Cavani and less so Martial. However now with Ronaldo that isn’t going to happen, which was always my biggest concern with Ronaldos arrival. Hopefully he can still get plenty of minutes but I think it’s clear that Greenwood’s future is playing centrally while Sancho’s is out wide, ideally on the right.

I’m in two minds about the Greenwood/Ronaldo thing. Yes, Greenwood’s opportunities may be limited but at the same time we’ve got to remember how young he is. I believe Rashford has been played too much and we’re don’t want that with Greenwood.
