I think before Ronaldo joined Greenwood had a great opportunity to play centrally this season along with Cavani and less so Martial. However now with Ronaldo that isn’t going to happen, which was always my biggest concern with Ronaldos arrival. Hopefully he can still get plenty of minutes but I think it’s clear that Greenwood’s future is playing centrally while Sancho’s is out wide, ideally on the right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m in two minds about the Greenwood/Ronaldo thing. Yes, Greenwood’s opportunities may be limited but at the same time we’ve got to remember how young he is. I believe Rashford has been played too much and we’re don’t want that with Greenwood.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure on the minutes, but I think Greenwood has played more games before he turned 20 for us than Rashford.

I think Moyes has re-established himself as a genuine candidate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest, he should either never have been 'asked to leave' or not invited in the first place.
The club's squad make-up was in a horrendous mess when he arrived, and he, like the three subsequent coaches/managers were not given half the time necessary to re-build properly.
Consequently the club has had NOTHING but 4 half-rebuilds and/or rebuilds-of-rebuilds.
United are following much the same unworkable routine that Liverpool took through the 'nineties' and 'noughties'.
And there's no real sign of the club having the desire address that.

Good grief, I didn’t realise that.
It probably feels like he’s played less because he broke through at a younger age, to be fair. I’d imagine the difference in minutes between the two, from making their debut until a similar point in time had elapsed, is quite big because Rashford was starting a lot of games.
It’s pretty crazy how much Rashford has played for us. He’ll probably end up with over 300 apps by the time the season ends.
I’m pretty sure his number of apps are comparable to the likes of Giggs, Best, Whiteside, Ronaldo and Rooney at a similar age.

What an idiot
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like sensible measured comment to me. Why do you say he's an idiot?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is sensible and measured, but I can’t fault people for disagreeing with this part:
‘When push comes to shove, is OGS showing me what I want? Yes.’
We’ve won nothing (fine, it happens) and we rarely play well. With the players we now have, if the latter doesn’t change pretty soon I’ll be shuffling slowly and reluctantly (not to mention quietly) towards wanting him replaced.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure, I think we're all moving along that scale at the moment.
People calling other people idiots for expressing a reasonable opinion irritates me though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's funny, you don't get irritated when they call me that.

Really looking forwards to reading his article on how Ole's investment in youth is going to pay off in the long term.
Elvis, speaking of youth, did you see Angel Gomes got called up to the England u21s?

No I didn't. Not heard anything of him for a while. Good on the lad.
Me neither, just saw he was in the squad earlier. I’m glad that he’s still in England’s thoughts at that level, he’s only just turned 21.
I wonder if he will make his way back to the PL at some point.
Hard to say. Depends how good he can become, his stature is obviously going to be a real problem for him in the prem. I hope he does, his style is just so good to watch.
