Beating Spurs seems to now be the aim of our seasons. An utter fecking shambles.

We are 9th and 4 games unbeaten

Considering none of our players apart form Ramsdale and the CBs were playing anywhere near the required level, a point is a decent result as I thought we were heading for defeat. But that can’t take away from what was an abysmal performance, really sloppy, no energy, poor touches, slow thinking, no movement, no one showing for the ball and no obvious game plan.

Arteta should have some of the blame, but the players were so far off it, could barely do the basics. Brighton away is a tough game and they’re a good side this season , so maybe a draw will turn out to be an ok result in the long run. But there’s no way we can play that poorly again and get away with it.

CL football is most certainly on then!

Lucky to get a draw, all round really poor performance. That showing just re-inforces the narrative around Arteta not being at the required standard.

Ramsdale, Gabriel, ESR and Saka were the only players who showed any desire. Lucky to get a point.

The only positive was that Ramsdale and co kept another clean sheet

I would honestly like to know what our yardstick should be?

Must av watched a different game. Apart from
Smith-rowe chance we created nothing. Brighton peppered our goal and we stole a point imo.

I felt that Brighton were the slightly better side although we had the better chances.

They were by far the better side.

Nuno will get sack if they hobble around mid-table for too long. Levy isn't as naive as our ownership.

Agreed. With the current ownership, we’re stuck with this fool. Shows where we are as a club. Emery best Spurs 4-2 and the talk was of turned corners and top four challenges. Arteta beats an atrocious Spurs last week and the same nonsense was getting spouted. Seems like all you have to do is beat Spurs as an Arsenal manager these days and you get a reprieve for being totally wrong for the job and for the club. Expect more of the same for the rest of this season under that clueless mug.

It's still much too early to judge this side with all the new faces we have to bed in.

It's only been 7 games.

Would you take Potter if Arteta did go

Abysmal performance, don't let the point fool you. Another team with better finishers would have punished us. There wasn't much to convince that the Spurs win was not a one off.

We had zero control in midfield, felt like they had an extra man on the field. Our players are light years away from our past players in terms of keeping possession and we had no one up front to hold the ball which allowed Brighton to win it and come straight back at us.

Agree with this. My thoughts throughout the game

I thought ESR was clearly our best attacking player in the rain, but our whole team struggled to find any slick passing in those conditions and Brighton outfought us in large parts of the game. The defence was pretty solid and Brighton had few chances.

No. We've put in performances just like that with Xhaka in the team. With him often giving a goal.

This is all on Arteta sitting deep.

Did BHA really have 62% ball possession?
Arteta, I will sit down and wait for an answer.

Oh come on, how many years have you and the likes of Alan Smith been using that "young, developing team" excuse.
Take Chelsea as a comparison. They must have tuned over their squad ( and managers ) 3/4 times in the same period you lot have been "developing" and look where they are.
Definitely not a Chelsea fan, but the all teams churn over their squads, just Arsenal seem to be the only team who, 5 years or 10 years on, are still able to use it as an excuse to justify where they are in the PL.
