no idea, i'm just relieved that we've tied down ole and phelan for another 3 years.
fyi eldorado actually survived over 150 episodes, which logically means that bruce has another 3 years at the toon.

just because you only watched it for 3 months, doesn't mean it didn't exist (see also lvg's united).
but yep, 3 times a week for a year, just over 150 episodes.
feel a bit sorry for Bruce tbh.. not the greatest manager ever but has been given virtually no backing at newcastle to ever stand a chance of succeeding

You never know - perhaps they’ll keep him on and he’ll become the Geordie Pep

plus even were newcastle were at their prime under keegan etc they always struggled to bring in the best players, because the north east isnt a desirable plce to live, so it may be harder for them to bring in the players they want

People seem to think that the owners can come in and do what Chelsea and City did. They can't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m fairly sure they think they can or else they wouldn’t have spent £300 million on the takeover. It might be the PL title within a couple of seasons but I’m sure they can spend big money and circumvent FFP to an extent.

It will take 5-6 years maybe less but they will end up challenging the league
They may need to win the Championship title first.

Love this article Rob.
The one star option for Shearer is one of your subtlest Ole digs yet!

I doubt very much they bought this expecting to be challenging within 2-3 years like Chelsea and City were. The rules have changed massively since Chelsea, City and PSG did what they did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there really any danger of being punished badly if they do spunk £200 million on transfers though? Can’t they spend a load of money, be punished with a one season transfer ban by which point they’ll have the players they want and bend the rules like City and Chelsea have done recently?
I’m not sure what they’ll do but they most certainly have a plan and their lawyers must know some loopholes
We could be losing Ole to Newcastle folks.

Wey-Aye do you think that Barry
Who is going to be the statement first buy, quite a list to chose from, Mbbappe, Haaland,Kane an iconic N0.9 would really kick things off, Pogba would be a good statement against one of the traditional powers, Salah still hasn’t signed at Pool and could get an impossible offer to refuse, you have to think a big muscle flex will happen to set out the stall
