Parkison looks a decent leg spinner. (may not make it at test level) But he will never get chosen.

Depressingly true.

Lets look at Buttler. He can catch..he was terrible in the slips dropped clangers numerous times.. Now hes the wicket keeper. He gets out constantly with his bat outside his body.. You cant play away from your body llike that at test level
Hes not learned at all in the dozens of tests hes batted. he still gets out that way.

he cant catch ^^^

Last thing today theres no reason England cant bat for 5 sessions in their first innings and hopefully get away witha draw. Theres no way we will win. Australia will declare on 550+

The dressing thing here is that our batting will let us down 100%

Butler is stealing a living as a test match keeper batsman, a wonderful one day player he may be, but he does not have a technique for test matches and his keeping is only average. I much prefer Bairstow in that role, but Butler appears undroppable.

Buttler is the better test batsman. Bairstow is probably the better keeper, but not by much. Both are extremely unreliable bats and Foakes is better than either as a test bat and keeper.
