It does put the mass meltdown into perspective a bit though that a Utd win next week takes us within 1 PT and Liverpool are being talked up like a team that can repeat what they did two years ago and we are being called the 'worst team ever'. Shows how silly it is. This is actually our best start to a season under Ole too PTS wise. That's mental when you think about it as we finished 3rd and 2nd in the other two.

We aren't playing very well and clearly the new players have complicated it further as we have no idea how to use them all yet. Ole needs to get serious and leave some players out. Pep does it every week and City do just fine. We can't play Pogba Bruno Ronaldo Greenwood Sancho / Rashford every game.

Next weekend will be a battle. We won't play gung ho football. We have to respect we are playing a very good team on form. I expect us to be defensive and hit them on the break and it could work as it has before.

If we beat Liverpool while City, Spurs and Brighton all fail to win and Chelsea get points dropped them we will definitely be 2nd next week.

1 - A win next week seems as likely as Souness and Pogba announcing their engagement.

2 - You have to take into account who we / Liverpool and those above us have faced so far this season hen comparing.

We have a pretty terrible record in the league against Klopp under Ole so not sure we’ll do much of anything next week. Especially with Salah on cheat mode

Doesn't matter where we are in the table after 8/9 games. This time last year we were lower than this and finished 2nd. If we win next weekend but stay 5th / 6th I will still feel great as we will have beat the scousers.

What I want to see is a return to more pragmatic counter attacking football whilst confidence is on the floor. We have got no chance Vs Liverpool if we go and play attack Vs attack as our defence is not playing well enough to cope with that game plan.
