More quotes from Evra's book
However, former Manchester United left-back and captain Patrice Evra claims Moyes’ reign at United started to unravel before it even really began.
“David suggested that we should do some stretching on Bondi Beach near the hotel. United’s own security, who travelled with the team, suggested that it wasn’t the best idea because we’d instantly be recognised,” Evra remarked in his new book, via The Times.
“David just replied that he’d been to the beach with Everton and that there were no problems. “Yes, but you’re at Man United,” one of the security team pointed out.
“So we went to Bondi and started to stretch on the beach. Within five minutes, about 50 people started running towards us as word spread.
“Security, who were furious as the situation began to spiral out of control, tried to stop fans who were barging right into the session, but they had no chance — Man United were training right in front of people in a public place.
“Mounted police arrived to restore some order. It was a shambles and we had to leave for everyone’s safety.”
“As the situation deteriorated, I decided to text Ferguson to see if I could talk to him at his home," said Evra.
“Cathy Ferguson made me a nice cup of tea. ‘Boss, you have to help David,’ I told Ferguson.
“Patrice, I appreciate your concern and I’ll try and speak to him, but I’ve given him the biggest chance of his life and I think it’s fair that I keep a distance and let him do his job.”

Evra detailed in an extract of his new book, I Love this Game, as per the Times, that players had quickly began to question Moyes' methods.
The Frenchman notes that one player challenged him when he suggested players need to take the burden away from the new boss.
“'Guys, we have to take some responsibility',” Evra said.
"I said in training after weeks of this negativity. 'We have to give the guy a chance.”
"''How can you kiss his arsene when he tried to sign someone in your position?'" one came back at me. "He’s tried to sign every f***ing left back in the world."
Evra also claimed that Moyes admitted to him that he wasn't the 'best communicator' and detailed a chat with the boss where the left-back voiced his concerns.
"I'd gone to talk to David after our drubbing at City in September, where Sergio Agüero had run riot," Evra added.
"I gave it to him straight, 'There’s something wrong here, boss. The dressing room is not happy and I’ve not seen that in my time here before'.
"David admitted that he wasn’t the best communicator with the players, but told me that I should focus on my own game as I was playing well.
"What was a big issue in my mind didn’t seem to worry the manager."

Seems we have not learnt anything from past mistakes.
Giggsy stood up on the coach and shouted: ‘F***ing Everton fans are now taking the p*** out of us. Enough is enough.’
who'd have thought that giggs was the type to get violently angry?
Ed to blame then if he values the the players opinion over the manager’s

Not necessarily. You have to put things in this context.
You have a successful business with excellent employees. New guy comes in and business goes downhill.
It's not rocket science

Bringing a player through and running a football club are 2 very different things.
“David just replied that he’d been to the beach with Everton and that there were no problems. “Yes, but you’re at Man United,” one of the security team pointed out.

Exactly his issue, same with Roy at Liverpool. They genuinely managed like they were still at Everton and Fulham and couldn't adapt to (or were ignorant to) the increased expectations.
Maidenhead United……!
We’ve all done it …….Lol….
More from Evra on that Bondi Beach incident:
‘While all this was going on, a naked Australian man ran past us. We found out later that he’d lost a bet on a football forum and it was either that or change his screen name.’
A lot of stuff has come out in Evra’s book. The stuff about him being sexually abused is heartbreaking.

Is it available to buy yet? Has been in the pipeline for a while.
If his player's tribune article is anything to go by I think it'll be brilliant. Can't see him holding much back.
I’m not sure, just read a few things that have come out through the media over the last week.
I’m surprised his abuse wasn’t discussed on here.
