He’s a beast of a player when he performs like he did yesterday evening.

….

No he isn’t. He had a decent game is all. He still gave away the ball in stupid places and trundled through the midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Refreshing to see a comment with a bit of sense. Calling his performance yesterday "beast" is why other fans are laughing at us and our stock is falling daily.

Ferdinand and Brown against Barcelona 08 away is a beast performance, even though we drew. If that yesterday was a beast performance god help us.

The standards are going down to whatever lengths required to keep Ole in a job.

Imagine another manager who oversees Liverpool having two thumping wins in a row at Old Trafford while letting them win the Champions League and PL on his watch?

Always amuses me when top reds say Glazers out but enable their very symptoms (supporting a manager and players not good for the club because they think it makes them a super fan, and that's before we mention lining their pockets by attending matches).

Bizarre how doen on Donny some are.

Quality player who has been treated shockingly by Ole. No excuses.

McT is very ordinary. When he is eventually dumped by United he will go mid table, lower mid table then championship.

The lad doesn’t even start for Scotland FFS

Because it will mean having to cristise Ole.

People are throwing Ronnie under a bus to protect this guy so Donny was never going to win this.

He starts every game you utter prat. He's been filling in as a CB for them of late as they don't have many options there.

Yeah, he does.

Can people maybe try and get their pont across on here without telling lies? Telles scored a good goal but was absolute facking shΔ«te against Villereal. McTominay starts regularly for Scotland. It doesn't invalidate your opinion to say so.

I disagree. I think if he had come through at West Ham or Everton, he would be talked about like Rice.

Interesting to know what you think Ole could have done to stop Liverpool winning the CL?

Would Mourinho have got the same leeway if it happened on his watch?

Decent player nothing jaw-dropping

Same with Fred. We can do better. The number of times Fred lost possession yesterday was alarming. Spurs were obviously useless and did not do better with the ball.

We overhype some of these performances and when we meet a good team,.wonder why we perform the way we do.

Midfield needs quality and Fred and McT are not the answer not now and not down the line

He's just another ordinary player and offers nothing that other players at the club don't already offer more of.

Indeed, there are probably 2 dozen journeyman footballers in the epl alone that are at the same level and above.

Yesterday's line up with Pogba instead of McTominay, and matic instead of lindelof should be United's starting outfield 10.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol.
Imagine playing against a midfield of pogba and matic....
May as well play with 9 men
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the exact midfield which pulled us out of trouble after the first lockdown when we went on a run to finish 4th.

It is also this midfield minus Herrera which gave Ole his best run during his first few month's in charge, which got him the job.

I don't think Fred is even decent. He's just not good enough to be even a squad player at United imo.

McT on the other hand is. His inconsistency is a problem though and makes it hard to justify him playing every week. But then, if someone is hit and miss, there's no guarantee that they'll have a good day when they are selected.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because with a competent manager we would be scoring goals regardless with the talent we have going forward. We desperately needed a midfielder not Ronaldo.

When Ronnie originally left us, we replaced him with Valencia and Owen and we were still successful.

Team balance is more important than the individual, signing Ronaldo has caused more problems than it's solved, I don't care how many he scores.

We'd have a greater balance between defending and attacking if Cavani was our main striker.

If you can be bothered to go back and look, you'll find plenty of sound, logical arguments on here as to why the Ronaldo signing might not have been a good idea. Not saying they are right or wrong, but they have some substance which is more than 'wE mUsT pRoTeCT OlE'

If you and that Sierrama weirdo want to ignore them in order to fuel your own strange, paranoid delusions about some brainwashed Ole-cult, feel free.

Fred’s a better player than McTominay. The problem is that neither should be starting games for us as much as they do. The failure to adequately address central midfield has been a huge problem.

He is 36, its inevitable we will need to make some allowances for him, but no more allowances than we have to make for Maguires lack of pace, or the 2 DM's because the defence isnt good enough.

He is world class and brings more than he takes away.

Just find the negativity surrounding Ronaldo on here bizarre given the issues we have at CB, RB, DM and CM.

Yeah, great.

My point was about what does or doesn't bring to the team, more about the arrogant assumption that people who disagree with you must be doing so disingenuously because they want to protect Ole.

It's the type of utter nonsense which is ruining this board.
