I said last week on a thread that United didn’t want Conte, all the rumours were from his side saying he would be interested in the job. He basically was using the media and Romano etc… to try and force Uniteds hand. I have no doubt that, baring a complete miracle, Ole’s time at United is limited. Depending on results and availability of the chosen candidate he will be replaced in the summer at the very very latest. I wouldn’t be surprised if results take another downward turn that it happens sooner but the long term replacement may not be available at that time. Just my thoughts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, I'd guess we are holding out for Ten Hag. As Rodgers would leave Leicester if he was the first choice and we clearly don't want Conte.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone like Ten Hag (maybe not him specifically) would be my shout too if rumours are to be believed, in terms of young and exciting style of play. I actually think Rodgers would be a good fit too but his buy out clause may be an issue. It’s all conjecture as to who will be next but I certainly don’t think we were ever interested in Conte.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The excuses to turn down a winner like Conte are now void given Ole played a back seven (and brought on an 8th to see the game out) against the worse Tottenham team for years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh one game from a manager that will likely be gone by next season shapes our future. Good logic.

Keep Ole. Sack the team. No need to overthink the issue. If a team of highly paid professional footballers cannot play a game together just stick the academy kids on instead. More football, more effort, less ego.
Defeat to Atalanta and another horror show to City can only mean Darren Fletcher until the end of the season, there is no big name coming in and never was, sacking Ole will be an absolute last resort, Liverpool was a humiliation, the team booed off at half time and Pool singing Ole at the wheel but already washed over and semi cleansed with our win at Spurs.
Pep, Klopp,Tuchel, Conte etc managing our rivals is just a fact we have to live with while the potential of our squad is never realised, if we fail to get top 4 there would be a slim possibility we would go for Poch if PSG bring in Zidane but otherwise Ole is well and truly at the wheel for the foreseeable like it or not.

Wouldn't it be better, if man u picked out the manager they wanted, then got them at the end of the season. Give them a full summer to assess the team and start a fresh to have the biggest effect on the fans, because a new coach isn't going change your fortunes over night, same with Tottenham, I bet their results don't improve this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Id argue getting a manager in at some point this season, giving them some games to see how players adapt etc. Could be more beneficial than just a pre season. Look at how we'll it worked for Rodgers at Leicester for example.
If Spurs somehow manage to sign Conte, he’ll be available again in the summer anyway.
Conte and Levy is a match made in hell. The beef will start when Levy tells Conte there’s no money for new players in January, it’ll fester with Conte applying pressure for a splurge in summer… which won’t happen.
Kane will be off, Conte will be lucky if he has even those funds to spend, and he’ll chuck his toys out as he always does when he doesn’t get the signings he wants every window.

Even if that was so he'd more likely wind up at Arsenal or Newcastle.

I think some might actually sob on here if Conte is given a job in the next few days for a club that doesn't have a current football manager.

I wanted Ole out since Europa League final but now I have changed my mind. Lets keep him for this season and if he doesn’t deliver then we will look at our options.
