And 11 games in, City could find themselves in 4th, level on points with 5th and 6th.
Arsenal will not finish 4th. As much as I'd love to see it happen, our team is too young and we will lose some key players in January to the AFCON.
I expect the same top-4 as last year (albeit not in the same order).

But City won’t drop out of the top 3 as their record under Pep shows it’s an insane suggestion. The PL is a league where squad strength always dictates where people finish. City have arguably the best squad in the league so as others get injuries and wither away, they will do what they always do and keep on chugging along while the likes of West Ham lose an Antonio or a Rice for a few weeks and drop off.

It seems unlikely, I agree.
They still have frailties at the back and without a striker, they do look like they'll have the odd game where they don't manage to score.
I've seen stranger things in football than this City side finishing 4th.
Just checked and they've actually failed to score 6 times this season already, as well as 3x 1-0 wins.
I think we, UTD, fans I'll struggle for 4th if Conte goes to spurs and get the same points we have under Ole.
I don't gamble but I think if odds were favourable for us to finish 6th it wouldn't be a bad thing to put a couple of quid on

This. I do worry that United may not even be making moves to get anybody in because, let's face it, we aren't exactly proactive a lot of the time.
However what is pretty clear is that we obviously aren't that keen on Conte, otherwise we'd have been all in for him after the Liverpool game. And there are plenty of valid reasons for not wanting him.

Because Conte is one of the very few world class coaches available and if our brain trust at the club have decided he’s not the right guy then it’s just another top manager we’ve let go to a rival.
If he goes to Spurs we’re now in a position where Ole is up against Pep, Klopp, Tuchel and Conte. Doesn’t make our club look very ambitious.

None of us know what is going on behind the scenes and its all guesswork, but it doesn't really seem to me that we are interested in Conte, which makes sense considering the approach we have taken in the last few years.
