Nah Moffat has lost a lot of goodwill after the last Sherlock season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah well S4 was a mess - but I keep hearing people praising him in response to Chibnall
Moffat got a lot of crap for S6 of Doctor Who being a mess and that was deserved tbf.

I think Moffat turning Sherlock's fanbase on him is more impressive than Chibnall dragging down further a show that had already shedded most of its audience
I dont think anyone cares too much about Davies politics
He had the best overall vision of Dr Who
Moffat turned him into a superhero ffs
I prefer Moffat's show in theory considerably more than Davies tbh.
I also prefer S5 and S9 to any individual season Davies did - and am a huge fan of the Name/Day/Time arc in S7.
However, RTD's consistency and quality control was better.
Oh yeah the reason i wanted the Meadow back is to talk about how weirdly pyschotic the independent has become
RTD's politics will definitely be more of a factor in today's discourse sadly. His recent comments on trans rights already sparked a few videos.
I do think however, one key reason people are falling out of interest with the show in our age group is well...age.
We love Tennant as he was the Doctor when we were kids, and if you go back and re-watch a lot of it doesn't hold up as well as we like to remember - especially the front half of S4, what a mess until the library episode kickstarts that run.

The Independent's online columns do you mean? Yes, they are bizarre.
As are its constant pop ups.
There was a bit of Capaldi's run that brought me back in
NB. I think the run from Silence in the Library to End of Time is amazing.
On Capaldi - Heaven Sent is the best ever episode imo.

More the incessant idea that we need another lockdown is still on their frontline stories
They polled their own audience the other day on whether another lockdown was necessary. 38% or something said yes and the headline was 'Majority of readers think lockdown necessary'
Capaldi was the most successfully 'adult' it got imo
I actually did my top 5 a few years back:
Think it was Listen, Heaven Sent, Forest of the Dead, The Big Bang and Time of the Doctor.
Honourable mention to Blink.

It's their hill and they are dying on it. A lot of people are including our mutual chum Insert.
A whole segment of the country remains in fear, it's worse in America tbf.
Or is it fear? Maybe it's a sense of derived pleasure from the control.
Sky News has only recently stopped panicking about Covid cases, ignoring vast decreases in cases.

Capaldi was just brilliant even when the show wasn't.
the changeover from Matt to him where Clara didnt really trust him and this tension lasted a few episodes was a really good touch imo
Btw - Blarms you still watch Doctor Who or have you given up like me?
I dont even like the look of it now
Also the humour makes it unwatchable
I just tried to watch the latest one - I just....couldn't.
The one potential line of intrigue - Captain Jack - also got cancelled because he kept flashing on set 15 years ago.
I watched about 4 minutes of John Bishop playing himself and the Dr showing up and making references about Klopp
Couldnt get further
You make it sound even worse than it was
I really didnt like the lore changes btw
I know thats cliche, but seriously they fked with some things I didnt even know i wanted left alone
