Villa would be an attractive club, only thing is Im not sure what he can do there that would enhance his reputation other than win a cup. They aren't likely to go down and never going to break in to the top 6 so other than maintaining middle of the road the only question would be what are the demands.

Oh; Villa could very easily be relegated unless they start to turn things around, even if next season. Teams in their position are a couple of injuries, bad results from free fall which is why they sacked Smith. The signs were starting to appear.
So the risk for Villa is why appoint a manager with zero EPL experience and 1 league win in Scotland?
Equally, would Gerrard want to take the risk of being manager if they went down as his first EPL appointment?

I just can't see Liverpool being his first job in England its just too big, has to be a stepping stone somewhere and that if and its a massive if Liverpool ever appoint him. You just don't go from Klopp to Gerrard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would agree but I'd say he's almost better going to a struggling club or Championship club where he has a better chance of making a difference. Just think with Villa it would almost be difficult to tell after 2 or 3 years whether he has been a success or not.

Thats the flip side of my point. CS has started by saying that for all the talk of a poor defence it's conceded fewest in the league.
Any time I have seen Celtic this season you look vulnerable at the back, yet the numbers say otherwise. It's just a general point of interest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We only look vulnerable from crosses tbf.
Beginning of the season was strewn with individual errors, which can probably be put down to an unsettled back four.. was basically changed every game through injuries and new signings etc.
Occasionally we are caught out with a long ball hoofed forward, but that's become less of an occurrence.
Quick change of subject.
Spotted a clip of yesterday's game at Dens doing the rounds.
Wee kyogo in the pen area pushes his head against a Dundee defender.
He then proceeds to go down as if shot holding his face.
He a wee darling is he not.
Worked one week, try a similar thing again 🙂

I just can't see Liverpool being his first job in England its just too big, has to be a stepping stone somewhere and that if and its a massive if Liverpool ever appoint him. You just don't go from Klopp to Gerrard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you can just never rule out the sentiment factor.
Lampard - chelsea
Zidane - Real
Gattuso - Milan
loads of examples of huge clubs going on sentiment, Most Liverpool fans are happy to see Klopp stay but also think Gerrard is doing a great job up here and most seem to think he will be liverpool manager i the future at some point or other
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool fans are generally fuds who because of Gerrard now wuv Wangers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this is true the same guys will really want gerrard in ...prob to replace Klopp whenever that will be
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe but for Liverpool or indeed any clubs; the fans can get a manager sacked, but not one signed up.

also same with the pundits.... Before with other managers their achievments were looked down, yeah he has won league in scotland but is that a high enough level, to Gerards doing a wonderful job and really has a bright future ahead of him. F**k off any manager that has succes up here deserves credit it aint easy
