One minute I read he will still be in charge for the next game, next minute he’s gone. Can’t say I was ever convinced he was the man for the job. He brought some top players to the club but never made it work as a team. I think they would have been better developing Rashford, Greenwood, Martial and Lingard than turning to Ronaldo and Cavani. And defensively they have been a shambles which to me is more down to poor coaching than the players involved

Club statement
Manchester United announces that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as manager.
Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision. While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success.
Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as Manager and our very best wishes for the future. His place in the club’s history will always be secure, not just for his story as a player, but as a great man and a Manager who gave us many great moments. He will forever be welcome back at Old Trafford as part of the Manchester United family.
Michael Carrick will now take charge of the team for forthcoming games, while the club looks to appoint an interim manager to the end of the season.
Under Ferguson they were a united team (excuse the pun). Now, they seem to be a bunch of individuals with a lack of cohesion and too many prima donna's.
Ole was a forward, hence he focused more on the attacking side and was why they looked dodgy when defending. It's also why Nuno, being an ex goalkeeper, preferred a cautious defensive approach. Maybe someone like Carrick could be the perfect fit for now.
Carrick was a midfielder. Using this logic, United will now look dodgy attacking and defending! ๐๐
Just the opposite, you clown.
Midfielder was a Carrick?
I honestly think Utd have a good side but are just poorly run and managed. Actually agree with DJ regarding their strategy, surely better building with some of the good youngsters rather than signing oldies but goodies.
Not sure what Ronaldo was thinking returning to the club though, horrible decision.
Cinci, could it be the money ?
If he is the man to take temporary charge of United, they will have to hope they don’t get Carricked. In the Urban dictionary a carricked person is unable to grasp life’s basic concepts. A person who makes excuses and blames others for their own errors. The kind of person who goes in front of a judge charged with assault and blames the victim for making him angry

Bute was having dinner with friends today. One of them thinks he probably knows you from is time on the Isle of Bute. His name is Graham Leonard?
Is that Graham Leonard from the Serious Crime Unit? Asking for a friend
After his sending off at Watford, Maguire will be suspended from Man Utd’s next game at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. I understand Chelsea will appeal to have the suspension removed
