We don't need to panic. Nearly made it and held our own for much of the game.

Yeah don't think the subs worked today but if we could have upped it one more gear I think we'd have had them. Just seemed to struggle with the slower tempo n get caught 2nd guessing.

46 points keeps you up. We have 45 to go in 26 games.
That's 1.73 per game.
We can do that...

I can only go on what I saw on ESPN+ but I thought we looked a bit tired.

We were great for the first 12 mins or so but thereafter did not take enough care of the ball. I did not notice Ravel much. Where was he playing - wideish left or right? I could not tell. Ebosele made a big difference when he came on but really I felt QPR just about deserved that win. Replays showed that it would have needed VAR to determine whether or not Austin was offside before he crossed for their first goal. Defensively I thought we looked a bit ragged at times and there was no marking at all for that first goal. Their second was pretty spectacular. If only we had someone like that to come on for us!

We were never going to win them all and let's hope this was just a bit of a blip. I remain hopeful against all the odds.

Just got back home. QPR looked decent to me and we can’t expect to get a result every time against superior quality. Gray is their third choice striker but he is better than anything we have got and it showed.

Morrison playing centre forward with Lawrence never looked likely to work. We seemed to have only the long boot to Forsyth as an option a lot of the time. I thought a couple were leggy which is maybe not surprising. Thompson our MOM for me. Can’t be too hard on them because I think we are doing as well as we can. Please Santa give us a striker.

View didn’t stop to say hello, surely not sulking after schoolsoutgate. Took my younger lad out for lunch earlier and had some Jerusalem artichokes. Farted like fury all the way home as a consequence. Happy days.

Morning After View :
Well, morning after and I'm still disappointed.
After getting off to a brilliant start, as Rangers improved - so we faded. In fairness I though Rangers were actually better than either Fulham and Muff. Their passing was far more accurate and they had some dangerous players. That said I thought we laboured - especially in Midfield where I feel our problems lay ...So :
1. The back line of Roos, Byrne, Jags, Curtis & Fozzie I couldn't fault.
2. Midfield. Apart from setting up Lawrence I thought the normally impeccable Shinnie had a poor game. Their equalising goal came from him leaving the QPR player totally unmarked. He just switched off.
looked tired the whole match.
3. Knight. Some bright moments - but I felt he faded.
4. Bird. OK 1st half - looked tired in 2nd.
5. Tommo. My MOM. A totally tireless display and rarely put a foot wrong.
6. Morrison. Poor game. Never involved. Cant see what he brings to the team ATM and be surprised if his contract gets renewed in January.
7. Tom Lawrence. The main threat for us up front and leads by example ATM. Great goal too.
8. Joz. Talented player, but like Morrison to me brings nothing to the team. Sell him January if possible. Never adapted to our style of play nor the Championship.
9. CKR & Festy. Came on for last 15 mins. Festy had a couple of moments, CKR struggled to make an impact.
Its the life of a Football supporter isn't it. Just when you think you've turned a corner you realise that there's still a long way to go. UTR

I waited for you at the corner - I didn't see you. I was watching for you from my lofty NS perch but to no avail.

Were you actually there?

posted on 30/11/21

I'm fairly sure I was there. I stayed a bit after the final whistle to applaud the players just to show my appreciation of their efforts. It's a long drive home when we lose. On the subject of the artichoke, I can confirm the opinion of English botanist John Goodyer:

"which way soever they be dressed and eaten, they stir and cause a filthy loathsome stinking wind within the body, thereby causing the belly to be pained and tormented."

I'm guessing that wasn't in Burger King ?

You guess correctly Ang. These artichokes are all the rage on Masterchef. They are always doing them three ways and that kind of thing. I bet that wipes the smile off Greg Wallace's face the next day.
