I'm hoping the result the other night will galvanise the team. It could go either way I guess and affect confidence. Hope not. There's a good team there still, with good players, they just need to remember it.
I'm hoping for a positive reaction from the team but watching Arsenal last night it will have to be a Chelsea like performance again.
Just wanted us to keep GD down in December but thats gone out the window.
I think Chelsea was us playing well and Chelsea playing not so well.
We're in a phase where its not just in our hands we need opponents to play below par and it not being in your own hands is a real challenge.
Arsenal moved up to fourth spot last night and are now clicking under Arteta. We've slipped to 16th. This is not looking good, is it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this is hugely valid point.
I believe one of reasons we have small squads is that its hard to keep quality players happy to go through such rigorous training when they know their chances of playing in first team are slim to none.
It's hard to get starters to look forward to training when the results aren't being yielded from the work in training.
How far does trust and belief go?
I'm not saying Bielsa has lost the buy in, but saying you can see reasons why that could happen.

Delusional or what……
From reading some of the comments on here and social media in particular you’d think there were some fans wanting us to go down - bizarre
According to the telegraph this morning , Daniel James picked up a muscular injury on Tuesday night.
This means that we are now have just NINE senior players available for their game vs. Arsenal on Saturday. The injury crisis alone is the reason
Why we are where we are. Not beilsa. Not tactics. Not loss of dressing room and any other shhhttt.
The sooner we get some of these back the better. Arsenal is a huge game. One I expect to get nothing from.
Imagine looking forward to murder ball after losing 7-0.
Uhh boss, this doesn't work anymore.
Massive game on Saturday because it's Anfield after that they could get an ashes cricket innings against Predictaball.
Arsenal are climbing,Leeds are sinking, say no more ,nudge nudge.

Exactly.....great reason for needing good throughflow of new players.
Arsenal lost to Everton only the other week, with a very weak display.
I think it's important not to panic. December was always likely to be a barren month for us, even if we had a full squad to pick from.
In a twisted way, getting the injuries during this month could be looked-upon as good timing. Obviously KP out for 2 months doesn't fit, but just a quirky observation.
Let's see how we can perform when we've got this bad run of fixtures out of the way and hopefully a few more important players back to fitness.
Injures have ruined us but fail to prepare, prepare to fail. We under recruited and risked an injury crisis. We knew KP gets injured every season and that he'd be playing for England till probably late into the tournament, yet we stood still and did nothing.
Social media arm chair fans - leeds are getting relegated bielsa has lost the drawing room…..
Meanwhile, facts ignored.
Values of the Man City the other night:
Players on the pitch - £527 million
Players on the bench - £176 million
Players missing - £177 million
Leeds on the pitch - £81 million
Leeds on the bench - under £8 million
People need to pipe down…..

Why do you feel the need to tell people to shut up?
On another thread you said something to the effect of this is my view, you won't change it, so don't even try.
Why come on discussion forums if you don't want to discuss and don't want people to speak.
It's bizarre.

Very true. Philips always misses a fair chunk of games each season sometimes injured other times suspended. It seems that we gambled everything on Forshaw coming back from injury and staying fit. So far he has held up but I felt it was a very risky strategy.
Blowing the budget on James when we were chronically short in MF looks like a major error
We had 2 wingers prior to James coming in. If anything, we're still short in that department too,
There's only so much you can do when you get so many key players injured, all the time. If most of the top teams lost 30% of their top players, it would be as detrimental to them, no doubt.
Hopefully we can get some more luck in regards to injurys later in the season,
Look at Liverpool without key players last season, their form went out the window.

It's all constructive, pertinent challenge.Maybe it was more directed at the people over of Twitter but the sort of detailed challenge on here and posters laying out where the problems lie and why we face them is totally understandable and all coming from people that love the club and are entirely valid points if difficult for some to acknowledge. We are in trouble and recognising and dealing with the issues is the way out of it.
I agree with all the above. I wonder what the morale is like with the players.
I messed that up lol. I meant to say that I agree with Outwood White and tslufc.

We actually had 5 wingers onto books when James came in, albeit Poveda went out on loan.
Did we need another winger, I would say not.
I don't think moral will be a problem. This group have always been under a huge amount of pressure to perform over their heads. Put the loss behind us and try to get something out of the next one.
Arsenal are in good form right now but we can beat them with a good effort. I was more upset at the loss to Chelsea and think that game hurt us for our next game more than a pasting by the champs will.
Could use some of alioski's spirit right now.
