"Reports are that it was an unvaccinated conspiracy theorist who was the first death"

I wonder how the remaining unvaccinated conspiracy theorists view that.
BlackCountry?

Sounds like this particular variant has been bioengineered to take down the very people who are shining a light on this debacle.

The biggest covidiots right now are the ones still defiantly not wearing masks while planning a nice family xmas. Gonna be a lot of ruined ones this year due to morons not even having the sense to be cautious in the week before xmas.
Question. 93,000 cases today.
Is that new cases or positive tests?

Sounds like positive tests to me.
What's the distinction you're making between cases and people tested positive?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well 93,000 new cases is a lot different to 93,000 positive tests if people who test positive for covid have to test every day for 7 days.
Considering that was brought it on Tuesday that goes a little way to explain the spike, no?

I assume he means either that a) lots of positive tests will be wrong, or b) it’s not a ‘case’ unless you’re symptomatic? Not sure I’d agree with either…

To assume makes an ass of u and me.
Trying to work out if the massive spike in cases relates to the fact that everybody who tests positive will then do so for a further 7 days - new rules brought in this week.
93000 cases that said it’s not a huge increase on the day before
As the link above mentions cases (people who have had at least one positive COVID-19 test result) the I presume it means people rather than test results. As in theory you could have one person having had 93k tests!

Cases are definitely on the rise but I do think the daily testing is making case numbers look higher than they actually are.
Which is why the government aren't really reacting to it.

It’s a bit confusing, I must admit.
Quibbling over numbers doesn't really matter, it is fairly clear it is running rampant right now.
It's pretty clear, it says:
"Number of cases (people who have had at least one positive COVID-19 test result)"
If you tested +ve every day for seven days that'd still be reported as one case

That’s true and is the main thing. However, they’re not really ‘record’ numbers IF people are being classed as new cases for a few days when they weren’t before. I don’t know.
