Managers approach the ref all the time ….I never implied they don’t ….he shouldn’t have approached the ref in the way he did is what I said (and then go unpunished )

The 'problem' remark specifically referred to the booking, rather than the ref's integrity.

I suppose he could be punished for that, but the FA probably don't want to be drama-queens about it. There's enough of that on social media.

For whatever reason Klopp felt he needed everyone to know how upset he was - in my opinion it’s a mixture of arrogance and the fact he is a bullying khunt, but some disagree.

He is an intimidating figure but any side would want him as manager

His snarling and nashing on the side line is like a clucking crack head but I like his passion as it feeds the players

You make lots of good points on this thread the biggest in my view is klopp shouldn't have berated the ref in public. But the reffing has been terrible and not just favouring the big clubs.
With var in place to help the refs there really shouldn't
be game changing mistakes made.
All fans should hope the league sorts this and in my view it should be easy.

As an aside, I'm surprised Klopp is allowed to do his screamy in someones face thing in the middle of a pandemic. I get offended enough when a mouth breather is in the same restaurant as me without a mask on.

I think the Liverpool fans on this thread have misread my intentions in what I’ve been saying

Ref was so bad he deserved the comments made to him but they needed to be off camera

To do it in such a public way with what he actually said is not good at all

Klopp losing a bit of self control was completely understandable however due to the public nature of the sport he needs to keep it in the tunnel after the game

All managers do what Klopp did ! Ie want answers off the ref after the match when they feel aggrieved but what they don’t normally do is make a comment which brings the refs integrity into question and if they do they do it behind a covered hand or away from the camera

The ref deserves demoting and the var does….shambles and we got away with one

I don't think he did bring the ref's integrity into question. If he did, he'll be charged, but I think he'll make the point that the 'Problem' comment was about the booking, rather than the decisions.

If he's not charged, then it's all a storm in a teacup. Just a manager letting off steam...he's not even a particularly serial offender.

In fact, it's a storm in a teacup even if he is charged...that happens all the time, too.

Sometimes it is okay to admit your manager / club / player may have over stepped the mark though

It’s not a massive deal what he did ! The big deal for me is the fa doing nothing about it , that’s worse
