Can't say I'm overwhelmed with Vlahovic and I do think Aarons is pretty poor.

I'd be happy with Lamptey, I'm not really sure who else. Even Kessie, who is by all accounts quality, would be fighting in a position we are well stocked in - and I don't know what the plan would be.

I like Lamptey but he has had a fair share of injuries. Can see Brighton asking for around £30m for him. Not sure he is worth it but when he is fit, he is excellent.

See I don’t think we are well stocked in CM. We have two players Conte likes and another in winks that might make the cut all other options are redundant and wasting squad players regardless if we as fans rate them.

Also Kessie is very good and upgrades on both Skipp ( who you know I love ) and Højbjerg.

Lamptey I’m worried about his injury record.

He's not gonna start big games over Son or Kane so whether or not you want to call him a backup or an alternate option I stand by the fact that it's a bad idea to spend circa £70m (the number I've seen floated around) on him.

He's 10th for non penalty goals per 90 in the serie A this season - people are talking about him like he's having some haaaland-esque season when it's just not true. He's a very good young striker who we should not be spending even £50m on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
£60m is quoted asking price. He is worth it. 6ft 3. He would be a great option for Conte to have. He might even raise Kane's game to the levels we all know he is capable of. He also idolises Zlatan. It's no brainer.

I'm not one for endorsing big money signings because of our history but if Conte and Titty feel he is the one then so be it.

I would say that none of these are good reasons to sign a player

You left the bit about him being a great option for Conte.

Because it's an empty claim - I can say that Troy Deeney is a great option for Conte. In isolation it's totally meaningless, I have to provide reasons for why I think this is the case. "He'd be a good signing because hed be a good option" is a complete tautology, obviously you must think he'd be a good option if you think he'd be a good signing.

The reasons you provided for why he'd be a great option are because he's tall, would motivate Kane (who has already been great under Conte) and idolises zlatan. Those are not good reasons.

if our scouting department is evaluating players based on who they idolise then they should be sacked on the spot

He’s has the strength and physical attributes to be great in this league yet also has decent ability & technique to have others play off him.

He’ll also bring a great aerial threat especially with how conte likes to use crosses as the main threat going forward through the wing backs.

He’s got a decent bit of pace for a big man too.

Most of all there’s certain managers you go with what they want and if conte wants him then I do too.

I'm not a scout though. You are getting in a pickle. We were linked with him last season and have been linked again with him recently. 16 goals in 19 league appearances. The player wants to leave. If we have the funds and Conte wants him so do I.

Like I said I think he's a very good young striker who would do well for us. Its purely a price issue for me. If we can afford to pay whatever they want without that affecting our other transfers then sure go for it

I'd say physical forward and set piece taking attacking mid are high priorities.

Depends on sales for the midfield and CB additions.

I think bergwijn will be surplus to requirements by the summer unfortunately.

I don't really get the clamour for an attacking mid. We haven't been linked with any either. Alot of Spurs fans have said we need a play maker but I am not so sure.

The problem with play makers is that they are not the best at defending. In Conte's system so far we rely on the full backs pushing up, the two or three centre midfielders playing forward balls or Dier pinging it.

Conte has spoken about exploiting Lo Celso before but the fecker is always injured.

They should have plenty of money in the bank with the sales they made over the years. Plus they are in the champions league so that type of money should not be a problem considering they spent £20m on Haller who was poo before they brought him.

Lo Celso on paper is the perfect conte player imo. A tenacious player who can break lines with his passing and movement.

Shame he only likes to play for Argentina

Conte probably threw straight into double sessions to make up for missing the last month
