Just remember we got a close look at some of U23s last season when we lost at Crawley 3-0
I’ve upgraded Gelhardt into a senior player in my mind now. He’s played enough at Wigan and now leeds to be regarded as first team.
That gives us 19 players
8 injured with Llorente suspended next league game
Our senior outfield players are Ayling, Koch, Llorente, Struijk, Cooper, Firpo, Dallas, Phillips, Shackleton, Forshaw, Klich, Roberts, James, Harrison, Raphinha, Bamford and Rodrigo. I count that as 17 (I might be missing someone). Then Meslier.
Gelhardt and Cresswell aren't senior players.
Looks like Sean McGurk and Archie Gray have both travelled. McGurk been impressive for the U23s apparently. Gray obviously exciting too.
Drameh is there, and seen no mention of Ayling, so maybe him starting.
Last time I saw McGurk play on LUTV he was absolutely relentless. Only small but I reckon he'd be horrible to play against.
Meslier
Ayling Llorente Hjelde Firpo
Koch Bate
James Klich Harrison
Greenwood
Subs: Klaesson Moore Drameh McCarron Jenkins Forshaw Dallas Summerville Raphinha
Cresswell is still out injured.

hmmmmmmm no cresswell

Long term injury, where have you been?
Hope Koch is in a back 3 and not hung out to dry in defensive midfield again.
Interested to see how Bate gets on
West Ham side looks fairly decent
Its always exciting to see a few youngsters play. Especially Bate and Greenwood in this case but I suppose it needs balancing with the expectation
Gelhardt has looked impressive, Somerville fairly innocuous and Dramah struggled a little which is to be expected

Was always an option. Play a decent side against a depleted side with a rookie and center back in midfield and you'll have a comfortable afternoon.
Afternoon All
Thought Bamford would have been on the bench
Come Onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds!!!

Strong Wet Ham team, experimental u23-based Leeds.
Not going to be pretty this one.
Not sure the words bate and koch should be in the same sentence … anyways … I think we’ll win 0-7 with Raph coming off the bench for a hat-trick and Dallas with the other 4 … get yer money on now!
Btw, used to be some great rumbles between the Service Crew and the ICF back in the days … ahhh, nostalgia eh?

Yeah and we just need to sign Holding from Arsenal to have a commentators dream....Brian Johnson would love it.
We probably wouldn’t win this with our strongest available 11 at the moment, so why risk the players who we will need to help us stay in this league?
Sensible line up but I fear a 3/4 nil drubbing. Hope I’m wrong and the young lads can make a name for themselves.
Not being negative but not really bothered if we go out. At least it’s not a League 2 club.
