I was watching PMQ's a little earlier but had to turn off because I couldn't bear to look at or listen to him. At the time this party took place, my late wife was seriously ill in hospital (not Covid), in a room on her own, so for one month, the only contact we had was 2 x 5 minute daily phone calls (A nurse held a phone for her).
This "man" makes me sick to my stomach, I hope against hope that he's unable to wriggle out of this one, but I won't hold my breath.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i'm sorry to hear that, how are you coping?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty well JFK and thank you for asking. She passed away in September 2020, so its been awhile, although I do still miss her everyday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can imagine you would mate. Sure you had plenty of good years to look back on though so you'll always have something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s awful.
The governments of the U.K. who dictated that people couldn’t see families in hospitals or care homes whisky seriously ill, in their final days or suffering from mental illnesses should be a stain on their lives for as long as they live.
Funerals held by video. Unable to put your arms around a loved one and try and comfort them in their darkest around were an affront to humanity.
Johnson is out on his own in terms of rule breaking and bare faced lying. He has to go. My guess is he’ll hang on until we declare Covid as endemic and some decision is made on the NI protocol which should be in the next 2-3 months.
By right I don’t want him to resign. I’d prefer he was unceremoniously kicked out by his party colleagues. How can any of them even try and defend him now is just beyond comprehension.

Depends what you mean by karma. He’s been out of public duty for Lord knows how long now. The out of court settlement won’t make one iota of difference to his lavish lifestyle in the grand scheme of things.
People who do these things would “normally” suffer with jail time, offenders listing for years, likely lose their home and income. All sorts. He’ll have none of that.
No, I know. The chances of him slopping out any time soon are pretty slim. I don’t think anyone would seriously expect the Queen’s son to be sewing mailbags.
But that’s not a reason not to pursue it. A boot in the stones or a slap on the wrist, some form of punitive justice must be seen to be done. And in terms of reputation, if it hastens the demise of that ridiculously anarchic then tear on. Hold my popcorn.

I hope they deposition his PA's too, and demand to see His diaries. Use social media to verify rummors then provide proof if He lied. There must surely be atleast one snapchat picture, or Twitter comment, verifying if the PM was indeed present at a restriction busting rendezvous.
The honest majority followed restrictions diligently, and missed out on a lot of normalcy. And now largely feels burnt out and ready for things to get better.
Finding out that the person who implemented rules, might have chosen to ignore them, quite possibly more than once. What kind of Leader is that? Is it any wonder the public are waiting for the cabinet to declare a vote of no confidence?

It’s all go.
I think many are going to be considerably disappointed in the “punishments” they want for Johnson and Andrew.
The reality in the first will be either a time chosen to gracefully depart with a string of “successes” or maybe even to ride it out and implement tax cuts, energy price caps or assistance and loosening of tax breaks against Europe as a Brexit dividend.
For Andrew it’ll be a Rangers type transfer of an undisclosed fee, never to be seen again
The notion of being kicked out or have some legal punishment is so very unlikely.
imo of course.

there is literally no way Johnson could gracefully leave his position as PM anytime soon, he will leave a lasting legacy as possibly the worst PM ever.

What I mean is the way it will be portrayed in it being a “graceful” departure.
As for Johnson being the most likeable Tory; sorry but that really is no longer the case. He is despised now by almost every Tory voter I know and the vast majority want him out. He carries on like this and he’ll lose the party the next election to quite possibly the worst and weakest opposition ever. Unforgivable and his colleagues won’t allow that to happen.
It’s just the timing and the manner it’s done now.
I agree with ginger, the tories have to enter disaster management now. The object for them is to limp to the next election and not have lost before the ballots are cast.
Personally I hope it gets worse and they are so toxic that they can't win.

Boris purged the party in 2019 allowing only bootlickers to remain. Everyone of them is mired in this mess, some are publicly supporting it.
This government and it's backbenchers have sold their soul to Boris for their seats.

The notion of being kicked out or have some legal punishment is so very unlikely.
imo of course.

there is literally no way Johnson could gracefully leave his position as PM anytime soon, he will leave a lasting legacy as possibly the worst PM ever.
and amazingly he is probably still the most likeable Tory out of the bunch of chancers that the party put forward.

Boris purged the party in 2019 allowing only bootlickers to remain. Everyone of them is mired in this mess, some are publicly supporting it.
This government and it's backbenchers have sold their soul to Boris for their seats.

Mmm .. dunno about ever.
Tories got well slapped under Howard, Hague, & IDS.
Labour 8 points ahead as I type.
