Mmm .. dunno about ever.
Tories got well slapped under Howard, Hague, & IDS.
Labour 8 points ahead as I type.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
8 points seems like a lot but given the electoral map a polling lead doesn't always mean a massive swing.

Press like to keep these things quiet to protect the Tory party, I'm sure once they find a narrative to get rid of Boris and scapegoat him for all the parties ills they'll show us who the chosen one will be to replace him

I'll never get over those Hartlepoole voters changing from Labour to Tory last year, the listed the reasons and every single one was forced upon them by Tory austerity.
It was hilarious and simultaneously very depressing
Gotta hand it to the Tories tho.

8 points is nothing at this stage Jake way through a party’s time in office. They will time the next election to suit themselves and by then Covid will hopefully be endemic whilst the party clean up and start to be of appeal again.
The fact that Labour are only 8 points ahead is a shocking indictment of their opposition. They should be 20 points ahead by now so they’ve failed to take true advantage on many fronts.
It wasn’t that long ago millions were hoping Corbyn would be in power. Look how quickly that changed.

I was watching PMQ's a little earlier but had to turn off because I couldn't bear to look at or listen to him. At the time this party took place, my late wife was seriously ill in hospital (not Covid), in a room on her own, so for one month, the only contact we had was 2 x 5 minute daily phone calls (A nurse held a phone for her).
This "man" makes me sick to my stomach, I hope against hope that he's unable to wriggle out of this one, but I won't hold my breath.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i'm sorry to hear that, how are you coping?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty well JFK and thank you for asking. She passed away in September 2020, so its been awhile, although I do still miss her everyday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can imagine you would mate. Sure you had plenty of good years to look back on though so you'll always have something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry to hear this mate.
I've had LBC on the past couple of days while working and some of the stories from callers have been heartbreaking to hear. The courage of some folk to call a national station to express their thoughts and to do it through what is still raw emotions, many in tears. Difficult to listen to at times but essentially listening.
I buried my grandad 3 weeks prior to the Downing Street party. Only me and my brother, my folks, and an uncle attended due to the restrictions at the time. Would've been many, many more under normal circumstances. Funeral directors were amazing in that they turned a blind eye to us all hugging etc given mixing households.. yes it broke the rules but it we saw it as compassionate, not a fvckinh knees up in the sun.
My mum having to go home with only my dad to console her afterwards, no wake. It's why not when you have no wake that you recognise the importance of them in the immediate grieving process.
So many people made so many sacrifices in those early months and why this current story will not go away and is the beginning of the end for Boris, no matter how hard this Cabinet chums try to rally around him n' try to bury the story. This has cut through unlike any of the previous ones given the time of the party and the evidence in existence, coupled with him literally trying to laugh it off in the past couple of days.
Again, sorry for your loss and wishing you all the best.
