I think this is a major mistake letting this lad go , guarantee it comes back to bite us , should have just loaned him.

Goal against Palace, two headers against Contes Chelsea in our last season at the Lane, another brace against Chelsea when we beat them at SB, and many others from 2015 to 2018. Don’t let anyone tell you he wasn’t an excellent signing at just £5m, he was quality for 3 years which included back to back YPOTS awards. The boy just lost his way, too much too soon, hope a new start sees him right and he gets his mojo back.

This

Poch got the best out of him and he provided us with some great moments.

Loved singing his song.

sad to see him go if it does happen. He is one who has delivered in the past. A loan would have been better i feel, but £40m is good funds and a high earner off the books.

Sandy you fackin mug, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Yes he had bags of potential but he’s finished for me as a footballer…. Of course he’ll still keep getting picked up by other clubs as that’s the nature of the game.

Everton, then It will be Cardiff, Portsmouth, then Leyton Orient etc …

Dele Alli is far from shocking, he has proven himself to be a very good PL player, but has lost confidence, form and the desire for whatever reason. Everton are getting a very good player if he rediscovers form etc. God knows what Spurs are buying, not a lot by the look of it.

He smacked it to Chelsea twice in his time with us, once at WHL and once at SB. Will always love him just for that

Ali is good in a team winning games but his head drops when the team is trailing. Spurs documentary showed his attitude was questionable at times. Trains lazy and can be negative in the dressing room. I've no doubt his lack of confidence doesn't help.

To play for a top team u need to have ability and work rate or be exceptional to be treated as a luxury. At Everton he won't have that pressure. Be interested to see the fee structure.

Shame how it turned out, but he really had to go somewhere. I'm glad he's got Lampard there, a coach that basically made a career out of the same skillset must be his best chance of getting back into form.

Sorry I really don't understand why any Spurs fans wish him well. He is lazy, disinterested and, has despite several managers trying to coax him into making something out of his career, failed for around 2 years to make any telling contribution. He's everything that I despise about the modern player.

And, before you say it, yes as an Arsenal fan I should know as we've had plenty like Ozil, Auba, Willian and others who have coasted and not put the effort in despite taking millions out of fan's pockets in wages.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Sandy feels very smug about using the words 'financially doped' in every post and thinks it ends every conversation in his favour. Almost like he invented the phrase

You are better off rid. Everton is clearly the retirement home for past-it NL players so he'll fit right in. They'll probably buy Laca in the summer the mugs

He is, no doubt, still clinging on to the hope that Sheikh Mansour will get bored with his plaything and pull the plug.

13+ years and counting.
