I don't think luck comes into it we got exactly what we deserved.

Although we were lucky not to be 1-4 down at half time.

Can you imagine the FA cup final being held in Singapore?

Never happening!

Levy isn't going anywhere any time soon. You've got to trust Conte. If anyone can get us competitive again within the Levy model of constrained spending it's an elite, experienced manager like Conte.
Poch, a relative unknown quantity at the time, pulled it off with a significant slice of luck. He inherited Walker, Rose, Vertonghen, Lloris, Dembele and Kane, whereas Conte has inherited much less (although Skipp looks a potential gem so far).

Following Conte's first transfer window (negative net-spend of course) we're looking at a midfield with Bentancur/Skipp over Winks/Hojberg. That already improves the team massively albeit from a low bar. Remember how improved Alderweireld and Vertonghen became when they had Dier and Wanyama in front of them.

Patience for me. One January window and things are going to start looking better once Bentancur and Skipp take over.

Most disappointing part of the night was Levy raising the beer prices for the second time in eight months. The contempt that cant has for the fans is infuriating.

We are no longer in the driving seat for 4th after that loss. Arsenal are level on points with a superior goal difference and do they not have easier fixtures?

We are. It’s in our own hands. We play arsenal and West Ham at home. Need to win both.

Basically if we win every game we come 4th (at least) even if the other top 4 rivals win all of their games, apart from their games v us.

Obviously won’t happen, but it’s in our control, which is what you would want at this stage.

Didn’t even sound like we were in for a defender during the window.

We are in desperate need of a CM (Bentancur is a start hopefully), a decent RWB and two decent CBs who know how to play in a 3. Oh, and a striker - still.

Results last night will happen time and again with this lot.

Next year, next year

that what im thinking, that last window didnt really address anything did it, ok we have a decent midfielder but nothing else, always at Spurs we need to address this or that but never ever gets addressed because to Levy its just not his priority

We have never been in the driving seat for 4th. You ALWAYS take the points over games in hand,.... especially when you are as flakey as Spurs
