Another disappointing result, but there isn't enough depth of quality in the squad.
On to Saturday
Potential owner now looking at league one next season, might turn out that preferred bidder might become just one bidder.
When we were on our decent run and if things had gone our way and sitting 4th bottom I’d say this mess would have being resolved by now.
But now, who knows.
It's maybe fanciful to suspect referees are briefed by EFL to give us nothing but when you look at all the obstacles thrown in our path this season (too numerous to mention) you do have to wonder. It's totally clear EFL want us relegated and it's been obvious throughout the season. No way did Cardiff deserve anything from that game and no way should that goal have stood. Festy was fouled way back and Curt was fouled by the "scorer". It gets harder now by the week.
Rooney has had to knit water all season and to have done as well as we have has been miraculous. It was almost a certainty that we would be relegated. I thought we would go down even with no points deducted and with Jagielka in the team. Getting to within spitting distance of fourth bottom raised all of our hopes but you cannot disguise the thinness of the squad in attacking areas. It would be a real shame if we forgot how incredibly well the team has performed and reverted to the traditional blaming of this or that player, when the joyous part of this season, and what has made it one of my favourites, has been the sense of absolute unity of everyone associated with the club. It has made me proud to be a fan. If and when we go down then I will give nothing but thanks for the efforts of the players.
Have to admit that I cried tonight.
But that’s done, and we fight til the end.
Real life-threatening unfairness in so many places.
Sleep well Heb and everyone xxx

Just seen part of the video, he's not happy at all! He'll probably get a fine for what he has said.

Well, different day, same result. I do keep asking myself how many may Tom Lawrence have scored in the last 3 games ? On the law of averages I'd have to have said 1 or 2....which could well have changed results since his dismisal against Posh.
Yes, it's a conspiracy theory but we certainly have not had the rub of the green. Equally it makes me wonder just what on earth is happening with the bids / takeover. Yes, I know it's a game of poker to those with the money - but for F's sake....
I thought the team did ok last night and couldn't fault them. Equally for all our endeavour Cardiff did defend well and got players behind the ball. It was so similar to the Luton game really. Fact is we've been down to the bones for so long now....but we just have to grit our teeth and get on with it dont we....
1. Goalie. Allsop. Played well. Nothing could do about the goal.
2. Defence. Byrne, Curtis, Cash and Buchanan. Again I couldnt fault them.
3. Midfield. Bird, Bielik & JK38. Though Bielik did well - hope his ankle is ok. Bird & JK38 equally industrious.
4. Forwards. Festy, Ploz and Morrison. Ravel's best game so far and probably our MOM - unlucky not to score. Festy a handful again. Ploz often ploughs a lonely furrow and is better when CKR is next to him I feel.
5. Subs. Sibs, Ebiowei & CKR. Colin not quite as effective as against Luton but did what he does. Sibs & Ebiowei didnt make much of an impact.
So all in all a REAL disappointment and no doubt it will have been a long drive back from South Wales. Unlucky to get nothing out of the game again but we have to dust ourselves down and battle on as another big game beckons on Saturday....UTR
And can we spare a though for Scouse?
Travelling all the way to Wales in the wind and rain to witness a defeat.
And after all that disappointment, it is compounded by Vidal standing him up.
Take care Scouse
A very wet morning in Cardiff today.
I'll call in on vidal this evening on my trip back through the Marches and make sure he's tucked up in bed.

The EFL believes the “very future of Derby County” is under threat after an apparent lack of progress made by the club’s administrators, Quantuma.
Derby have been in administration for five months and the EFL says it is “deeply concerned” over the lack of information regarding Quantuma’s proof of funds for the remainder of the 2021-22 season or its preferred bidder.
Quantum had said earlier on Wednesday that the joint administrators were “currently considering bids” for Derby and it hoped to name a preferred bidder “shortly”.
An EFL statement on Wednesday read: “The EFL notes the statement issued today by Quantuma (Derby County Administrators) but remains deeply concerned at the lack of any form of substantial progress in respect of the outstanding matters affecting the club.
“Despite requesting an update almost 48 hours ago, there has been no communication from the administrators with correspondence and calls from the EFL going unanswered.
“As a result, the EFL still has no further information on the preferred bidder status or evidence of funding until the end of the season and has advised the administrators that the lack of progress on these two critical issues, amongst others, is threatening the very future of Derby County Football Club.
“The EFL has once again written to the administrators requesting an immediate response to its questions so that the necessary and outstanding clarification is provided, not only for the league, but also for the benefit of the club’s other stakeholders, including its supporters and the local community.
At the end of January, the EFL gave Quantuma a one-month extension to provide proof of funds. On February 28, the EFL said the administrators had not yet done so.
Quantuma’s statement earlier on Wednesday said: “The joint administrators of Derby County Football Club are currently considering bids for the club, following deadlines set for offers at the end of last week.
“Further requests for clarity from prospective purchasers have been sought and we hope to be able to name the preferred bidder shortly.
“We are aware that everyone connected to the club wants to see its future resolved as soon as possible.
“Our duty is to ensure we secure the best long-term outcome for Derby County and we are working hard to achieve this objective.”
Following Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat by Cardiff City, Derby remain 23rd in the Championship table, eight points from safety having been deducted 21 points for entering administration.
