Just to resurrect a previous debate, Wolves named 15 foreign players in the squad submitted to the Premier League on Feb 1st. The maximum is 17. The problem is that Neto and Chiquinho will soon be 22 so next season they will need to be added to the squad. So if we want to bring in new foreign players in the summer we will need to remove a player from the squad for each one added

Don't think it will be a problem. Can't see Saiss or Moutinho staying and isn't Traore one of those named? He will stay at Barca and hopefully we will send the hapless Trincao back to join him.
Also wouldn't be surprised to see Boly move on in the summer.
Traore couldn't be one of the 15 named for the second half of the season, wouldn't make sense.
I can actually see Moutinho and Saiss staying to be honest and there's the Japanese geezer, will we need to name him in the squad? Certainly an interesting window coming up. Cundle has just signed a new 4 year contract today.
My guess at the 15
Sa
Saiss
Semedo
Neves
Moutinho
Dendoncker
Jimenez
Hwang
Trincao
Boly
Marcal
Jonny
Gomes
Podence
Sondegaard
Next year, question marks over Moutinho and Saiss and Marcal whose contracts run out this summer. Will Trincao be retained. Sondegaard may be loaned out.
Would be surprised if Marcal is retained. RAN and Jonny for the left and I would like to think Semedo and Bolla for the right with Hoever going on loan. Giles is a more tricky decision.
Yeah can't see Marcal staying, his squad place gets taken by Giles and opens up a slot for a non HGP hopefully.
Had forgotten about Bolla, no idea how he's progressing but Hoever must be under some pressure after his below par performances when given a chance.
Bolla seems to be one of the better players at Grasshoppers and has 3 goals and 3 assists and of course he is a full international.
We have 6 players out on loan at Grasshoppers. That has to be reduced to 3 for next season and only 1 is under 21. It'll be quite a juggling act for sure and I'd like to think we retain both Moutinho and Saiss for another year.
I think we are going to rely on our up and coming youngsters more, with maybe one addition in the summer.
We shall see, but if we do make only one addition we won't be progressing.
If eighth is as good as it gets this season then we have to face the reality that Neves is quite likely on his way out, Moutinho is obviously getting no younger, even if he stays and Donk has regressed. It won't be much fun with one addition when we would be left without a midfield.
This summer to me is actually a pivotal one in terms of our next few years. We have various holes cropping up around the side and several concerns from our more reliable players the last few years. Jimenez an obvious one. Coady? Saiss?
I take it Neto won't qualify as home grown as he turns 22 during this season, meaning the third year doesn't count?
I would get rid of Dendoncker and get a decent attacking midfielder in.
Yeah agree but unfortunately he may well be our only midfielder other than a kid with one game in his career by July.
That is.... By the time July comes around.
Thankfully it looks like wing back/full backs is one area we don't need to worry about.
Despite what it looks like on paper, our attacking options suddenly look iffy as well, Hwang and Trincao have been disappointing to say the least and Jimenez is a big concern.
According to Olifinjana Grasshoppers are talking to us about extending Bolla's loan next season.
Sang Bin and Hawabe are on 18 month deals there so will be there next season, looks like u21s don't count in the loan of three players either though didn't dig deeper.
Some reports from Portugal reckon Wolves, via Jorge, have Palhina from Spirting Lisbon lined up for the summer. Be an ideal signing if that came true.
Another one that would fit the bill is former target Frank Kessie. He’s had an excellent season with Milan and us now valued at over £40m. But he’s out of contract in the summer so could be brought in for free
He’s had an excellent season with Milan and us
Really? I don't remember him playing for us.
We've been linked with Palhinha and Kessie every transfer window for the last 2 or 3 years.
Kessie won't be coming to us on a free. He will be demanding astronomical wages if moving for nothing.
What did you make of the weekends game Tam?
There's a really interesting article on the athletic today by Spiers on Matt Jackson who looks after the wellbeing of our loan players. Busy job he's got managing the affairs and providing the link back to the club for the 20 plus players playing at other clubs. They went to QPR to watch Sanderson, praising him his play and maturity right up to the point he got sent off .
I read somewhere briefly i'll try and find it that Fosun have written off the he debt we owe them

Yes its in the published accounts that are out to day, £18m profit for the pandemic season, but a nett loss on player trading.
No doubt some conspiracy theorists will insist that Fosun are writing off the debt to make us more attractive to potential buyers.
