Great game when it came out but I think it's success could have been a bad thing in the long run considering how Rockstar are milking it, rather than new projects

I’ve not played it in years but it must go down as one of the greatest and most successful games of all time.

There is a story but I’d hazard 90% of users play it online openworld.

I’m pretty sure they’re even now still releasing DLCs

Only online is free but main game is 75% off for 3 months. I did buy it again as it's an amazing sand box and rightfully gets the pludits - maybe not the best story (but still good) but the best GTA world imo.

They don't need to release a new one anytime soon cos this one is still going, across it's third generation of platforms ffs

GTA V is the single most profitable piece of entertainment in human history. It's no wonder they're milking it for everything they can.

They attempted the same with RDR2 but the online side never really took off, so whilst it made a stupendous amount of money, it still didn't make every penny humanity has ever minted. So they'll likely hold off on GTA VI whilst the magic money machine prints more cash.

So much negativity amongst gamers about GTA 5 rerelease and that it's still going after 9 years now. I personally think GTA Online is fantastic. Why shouldn't it be cared for and updated? It's arguably the greatest sandbox game ever, as proven by the fact it's still selling about 5 million copies every 3 months even 9 years after release.
Stats dont lie. If you haven't played it by now, you can for free on ps5 and should really at least have a drive around for an hour on it as a bare minimum.

I'm not saying it's a great game, I'm just saying I would rather they brought out something new as I don't wanna relentless sink hours into GTA Online

I loved GTA5, I was only interested in the storlyine and missions though, I wasn't fussed about online stuff. With majority of games I never really bother with online stuff to be honest.

Trevor is such a good character in many regards as you were finally playing a bad guy who has zero redeemable features to him.

All the other characters since Claude, who was none speaking so he could be a blank slate, at least had reasons, for what their crimes and were portrayed as just nice guys caught up in something for some reason.

Trevor is an unlikeable bad guy and you finally get to commit horrible crime as a horrible person.

didnt bother with the online much.

Single player game was very good without being the very best... I thought RDR2 single player was far far better than GTA

Gta5 online is great.
My most enjoyable experience was doing the criminal mastermind challenge where you got 10 million dollars for completing all the heists without dying.

Still looks/feels like a really old game when I had a go so wouldn't be inclined to spend money on it again.

It's ten bucks and it plays like GTA.......not exactly sure what you were expecting

It's pretty and the bangs are more colourful

Basically it's worth the 10er just to have it on the newer system.
