I may get one of the top brass at Deloitte to look into this. I know some of their board via my network and they’ve told me they’d do it pro bono. Just need to push the button with them which I may do tomorrow.

In simple terms if Roman had control of the club and it sold for 1.5b then he would effectively of sold the club for nothing. Anything more and he would of made a profit, anything less and he would have lost money.

As a UK asset it has been confiscated, any money he was owed will not be paid to him and any money made will not be given to him. Something he had committed to when announced he was going to sell and write off the debt before being sanctioned anyway.

In effect any money made on the sale will go to whatever charity is agreed subject to UK government approval.

It's not rocket science, unusual maybe but not difficult.

Yeah the club shouldn’t be able to benefit by roughy half of the club’s value. It’s a ridiculous amount of money.

This was always the risk with having this type of owner, riddle the club with debt then leave one day. Luckily for chelsea they have grown into a club the size of which can probably handle it but if the £1.5bn debt gets enforced then it will set them back similar to Arsenal with the stadium move etc
