I know what you mean - it’s just a shame things didn’t work out anymore. Auba at top form is lethal.

Arteta's inability to play to our strikers strength is the reason Auba faltered at Arsenal in the end. We have let go a world class player for free ffs

Things were obviously difficult and causing tension. You can see now the team is really together so in that regard it was the right thing to do for all parties. The only concern which I think will be prevalent until the end of the season is there enough goals in the team and if we fall short because of that you've got to ask why someone wasn't at least brought in on loan.

We look much better with Lacazette up front. Where would we be without those 2 penalties he scored?

Auba was never world class,he started off well at Arsenal then faded.he's started well at Barca lets hope it lasts,we are a better team without him

started off well then faded? the guy gave us 3 great/good seasons and 1 bad one. not to mention winning us the FA Cup final

If he was still in the EPL he would literally be the best player in the EPL.

He’s better than Lukaku, Salah, Kane etc.

Averaged over 25 goals a season over 10 seasons before titler came along but he was never world class

World class players cost upwards of 100 million,no one came in for him ,glad to get him of the wages bill for nothing an overpaid

The money saved from Auba’s wages to fire us to 4th 💪

Any striker we bring in would find himself having to patrol an entire third of the pitch alone, under our system.

Completely marked out of the game for prolonged periods, and having to play at least 2-3 different roles concurrently for most of the match.

As someone else has said, Auba never stood a chance. Lacazette is the only player who's come close to handling this thankless task.

We need to start ESR on the left and Saka on the right with Martinelli down the middle.
I don’t want to see Laca starting the next game. He is just awful. Plays too deep and never in the right position to score. Just falls over most of the time.
Auba had got lazy and complacent at Arsenal like he did at Dortmund. Nketiah is trash.
We badly need a decent striker in the summer and a replacement for Pepe who hopefully will be sold. It just hasn’t worked for him at Arsenal.

Good for Auba, but just piiisssed that Barca got a great deal for him, also did we pay Auba £ 7miliion to leave?

Never world class as in ever? He's definitely been a world class goalscorer for much of the last decade.

I was always for him leaving if we could find a replacement in jan but the fact that there is a risk that an injury to Lacazette let’s in nketiah , who is league 1 standard imo just makes it even more baffling.
