Hopefully with our new owners we will be able to compete financially with United and City, we've been punching well above our weight recently under Roman
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone will be dwarfed by Newcastle, in fact if I was them I would buy Chelsea amalgamate the 2 teams, call them Newsea and go from there. Play up in Newcastle - no capacity/Stadium problems any longer. Instant CL place and they could take Chelsea’s recent honours as their own - delivering Champions league glory straight away.

I’m struggling to find a downside to this brilliant idea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought Saudi Media Group was worth 1 trn and PIF only 500 bn
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If that’s true then it makes even more sense to amalgamate the two, you can then be worth 1.5trn!!

Newsea FC, it’s the team of the future. Newcastle gain some winning pedigree, Chelsea lose their poor reputation. Together you are stronger
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs certainly looking a lot weaker that is for sure
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You guys could make PSG your most hated rivals

Chelsea will be back to a nothing club now there crooked financier has done a runner. Although I suspect he will come out of hiding to take Chelsea's new owners to court for the one and a half billion he is owed. Which which would effectively be the end of Chelsea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh my friend must suck to be you

Before Roman we were better than you, after Roman we are much better than you, and now the so called vultures that were circling are in fact nice juicy turkeys who want a piece of the Chelsea pie, and the one thing we are certain on for sure is whoever buys us won't be as bad as the train wreck that owns the spuddlings

Well you can’t be sure if that.

One thing we can be sure on is that Chelsea are incredibly unlikely to get another Roman, the next owners are unlikely to bankroll success to the tune of 1.5bn in debt write off.

Newcastle are likely to take your place at the top table and you will be back scrapping with us and Arsenal for the crumbs.

Yeh we can, have you not seen the sheet show at the spuddlings, all they do is talk about Chelsea and when Levy will be off, especially poor old Sandy, buy then what kind of moron must you be to wish war just so a rival might have sanctions placed against them? Very sad

Fact is we have dozens of suitors who we are picking, worse case will be Glazers v2, best case will be around the owners of Man City and I am pretty certain we are gonna be much closer to the latter

Think you lot might be celebrating rather prematurely - lots of hedge funds interested, working in the finance field I can tell you they won’t be benefactors, they will be looking for a return.

Let’s wait and see, it’s all just posturing at the moment

Amazing. Still loads of Chelsea fans totally happy with new owners with questionable backgrounds. Just got ride of one with more than casual ties to a war criminal, now courting the non human rights brigade.

Got so used to turning a blind eye to where the money is coming from, it just comes natural now.

Don't worry bro, those questionable owner bids will be rejected in favour of our consortium. Our owners have the necessary finances to cope with anything that is thrown at them, with more than enough left over to finance Chelsea's rise to the top of world football for many years to come.

Of course. Doesn’t mean to say they won’t do a decent job of running club. We balanced books pre Covid 2014-20 winning titles on net spends and even made a £60m profit one year.

We have a revenue comparable to Liverpool so it shows
Well-run clubs can win titles without being subsidised.

Roman’s major backing was 2003-13

Sure you have the initial leg up from Roman to put you in that position - but when this side fades and needs to be replaced you can’t afford to make the same mistakes as say Man United have if you have financially motivated owners. The ground limitation and normal corporate sponsorship will see you earning the same amount as Spurs and Arsenal roughly, long term that will bite and likely stop you competing with City, Newcastle, PSG

That’s simply not true. Our revenue is much bigger than Arsenal and Spurs even with a smaller ground

Last season and historically.we have a much bigger fan base than both so we attract bigger sponsorship deals and the gulf is getting wider with every trophy.

We also have the best academy in the world and make lots of $¥€$ from that

Of course you could get American owners that saddle you with loads of debt and run you on a shoe string - at which point it will be which players will Newcastle buy off you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We smell your fear

Harry wants success at an elite club

I think that was the burger I had last night
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Halal I hope

Agents will be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of new owners hungry to make a marquee signing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fair enough, personally I can’t see Levy selling to Chelsea, the two clubs hate each other, but stranger things have happened
----------------------------------------------------------------------
we have got ashley cole and Giroud from you lot ....thanks for them and retired Gallas Luiz and Willian to north london. Kane should be fair game and we have an aging Thiago Silva you kan have in four years when hes dropped his standards sufficiently
