Jimmy's still a bottler in World finals it seems
Didn't really get a chance... Oh, the seniors world champion is 2 months younger than the actual world champion 😂👌 goodnight 🤘
Cazoo is sponsoring the world championship next year apparently FFS that is bad news for Judd Trump.
Didn't know you were superstitious Arsenal 😂
Nearly all the tickets for the 2023 Cazoo World championship have sold out...
I am a little bit at times lol
Bit disappointed with Jimmy losing the Seniors Final, but he's won it 3 times so not too bad.
Senior Champ younger than World Champ, you would've thought this would be the only time it would ever happen, but with so many 40 year olds in the top 10, you never know...
The seniors should be for the over 50's, where was McManus, Dean Reynolds, Neal Foulds, Gary Wilkinson etc?
Yes I think the seniors should be for over 50's I also don't agree with having so many players that no one has ever heard of that were never even pro.
I would like to see the likes of Neal Foulds, Alan McManus and Peter Ebdon, even Mike Dunn wouldn't be a bad shout. I know Steve Davis will never play as he stopped playing when his father passed away.
Mike Hallett is another one I'd like to see.
Yea Hallett is a good call, James Wattana, dene O kane...
Wattana is a good shout I always forget about him.
I also saw Tony Meo on Eurosport last week wishing Jimmy a happy birthday! Didn't recognise him! People over 50 who were household names... That's what's needed..
Does Tony Drago still play? He would be good to watch in the seniors
Been listening to a terrific podcast by Dave Hendon, saying does anyone remember the 1996 world championship, when Hendry drew level with Davis & Reardon, or do they remember 1999 when Hendry took the overall lead... It's a good point... Maybe next year Ronnie 👏👏👌* number 8.....
How about, Steve James, Joe Swail, Alain Robideax... The seniors could be box office! 👏👏
On the podcast a question was asked about the record for consecutive frames at the Crucible... The record for 1 tournament is 13 frames over 2 matches... However the record is actually 19... Hendry from 14-8 down in the 1992 final, & Hendry won the first 9 frames against Danny Fowler in round 1 in 1993.
Steve James, Joe Swail and Alain Robideax are also very good shouts. The seniors could be so much better!
I think they remember Hendry’s 7th more because he lost that aura of invincibility. He lost his world crown in 1997, then in 1998 lost his World Number 1 ranking and got battered 9-0 in the UK Championship 1998 to Marcus Campbell. So to come back and win the Worlds from that was a great story especially with such a hard draw.
Great stats wetherby,
I remember in 2008, Ronnie was 4-1 down to Hendry and ended up maybe 13-4 up, so he took 12 straight frames. Not sure how many more times a player has won 12 straight frames in a single match
