Good news from my perspective

Our next manager? HooFlungDung... Chinese national coach...

Confirmed on bcfc.com,he has resigned so he must have another deal on the table somewhere. If it's villa the fans are not going to be happy with a Blues reject, are they?
I think the owners would have sacked him,had it not been for the payoff he would have commanded but I fear we are in very deep doo-doo now!

xpat- I think your right, and maybe its good his left. But to go to Villa, shameful

Blimey Billy Davies has gone from Forest this afternoon as well - Sven, don't answer your phone till tomorrow morning at least

I'm in shock, I can't allow myself to have a go at McLeish after what he's done for us, but if he goes to villa that is just ridiculous.

I don't know if this spells succes or turmoil for the club, it does give us the chance to completely re-shape our club and the style of play, however it does leave the possibility of falling into a downward spiral

I think we have massive finacial problems , and McLeish has had enough of the chinese saying all the top players can go ie Johnson, Foster.

Watch this space McLeish and Foster to go to Villa

How about Martin O'Neill as our next manager ? Now that would be crazy lol

I am gutted.
Shocked.
Who is going to come in now?
Please NOT Dave Jones.
On the bright side, we have the Johnstone Paint trophy to look forward to.

So I wonder if the rumours about Young & Downing leaving Villa are true. There wouldn't be a place for them in the McLeish 9-1 formation - although Heskey would be perfect... a lone striker that can't score.

Thought he was joking but blimey are Villa going too sign him. Dont envy there style of play.

Chris Hughton for me or O Neil but doubt he would come with little money too play with.

Martin O'Neil....
Hmmm, tasty thought.

McLeish off to Cardiff.

posted on 12/6/11

Chris Hughton deal close too join Cardiff but we would be attrative with europe next year. Glad he walked sooner rather than later as i said on old 606 his tactics was dire and set up poor. Thank him for a will to fight and we are hard too beat and i got slated for my opinion I wanted to be wrong but played a percentage negative game plan a never a plan B. KRO

Question that keeps whizzing around my head is about the financial situation at Blues. Clearly the Board would have got rid of McLeish had they not had to pay him off - my opinion of course.

Our better players are being touted around the PL. Foster, Johnson, Dann, Jerome (not sure Jerome is one of the better ones though). So has Yeung really got any money... I really don't think he's got a pot to p!ss in.

I think we all know somebody, who knows somebody in the know. And this 'rumour' about Yeung seems to be coming from a couple of what I would consider decent sources. BUT what does anybody really know?

I'm shocked. This is real bad by McLeish. Taking us down then leaving us right in the brown stuff while he swans off to Villa.
I'm not to sad to see him go, and I know the Villa fans will not be happy with this, but he really has shown what sort of bloke he is by doing this. When we got relegated he said he was desperate to stay and get us back up. We've just signed two players and been linked with many more. Lost a lot of respect for him after this. Just hoping he don't try and take some of the player to Villa with him.

As for a replacement I haven't got a clue.

I share rayzabluenose's thoughts on our financial future! Cud be a long, long road ahead!! I also think Johnson, Foster and Dann will possibly follow him to the vile (SHould he go there). However if we can use the funds to re-invest in the squad then we may be okay. I think we need to appoing a young, forward thinking manager. Di Matteo or Poyet anyone?

Billie Davies is looking for a new job - He knows this league

He will always be a legend for leading us to a cup victory (something I never thought I would see in my lifetime), but if he goes to Villa then I'll always consider him a traitor.

Resigning when the going gets tough just makes him a coward, didn't really expect him to do this but hey, its his life, and if he wants the Villa lot on his back then let him go there, I'm sure they will love his negative, defensive football

"Alex McLeish
Won us a Cup
Went to the Vile
and f*cked 'em up".

Made it myself. Do you like it? I like it.

I feel he's probably been forced out by the board but he brought it on himself.By holding out forever for a new contract, then getting us relegated with negative,just-make-sure-we-don't-lose-tactics!

posted on 12/6/11

Why would he go to Cardiff?
They are in as big a mess as we are financially.Their better players have already gone with more to follow.
I think there will be plenty of interest in the job but the board might put off the better ones.
MoN will not come because he needs funds, which we dont have.
Chris Houghton or Billy Davies maybe. Gus Poyet is a great shout
Thankfully he quit early while there is stil time for the new guy to stamp his own style.
I wonder what the new signings make of all this. Just signed and the manager is on his bike.
Interesting times ahead.
