Most of the prem, championship, league one and two don't give a shiite about CL, its only the entitled that do.
CL would be bigger for City than another league title as they've not won it before. For us (Arsenal) when we were good the CL was like that, it's often easier to win in some ways and some fairly average sides have fluked it but it's a huge deal to get your first especially

No it really wouldn't. For me it's always been about the league, that could be either the excitement of survival or challenging for the title, means more to me than CL.

Yeah you might say that but I reckon you're kidding yourself slightly. It's obviously very unlikely but City could decline at some stage having not won it and it'll always hurt as they really should have given the resources of the club.
The rivalry for titles with Liverpool is pretty spectacular though, can understand why it means a lot even if it's one of many because Liverpool are that good too.

Did the referee get the Manchester bus back home with you guys?
They're not even trying to hide it any more.
This is your best article to date, Pessy.
You are starting to grow on me.
The PL is always the one you want to win, obviously the CL would be a big win but there is much to dislike in the way it is set up.
You can probably predict most of the last 16/last 8 of next year's competition already and that isn't great. Seeding and groups are good for the TV companies and money for UEFA but City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Bayern/PSG/Real/Porto pretty much know barring a disaster they will make the last 8 next season, certainly the last 16. The lack of variety isn't good. I don't know what the answer is, the money brings world class players to the best teams and nobody wants to go back to the days where a few soft ties could see a team through to the final but the current format is stale and biased to the bigger teams in western Europe. The PL over 38 games always will be won by the best team, the CL may not be.

PL

Bahahahahahaha!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
CL cup comp or PL, only one sensible answer. The desperation you lot have shown in the couple of years tell us you are on the same page.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah we're more about the PL these days as we already have 6 CL trophies. How many do city have again?
United have won more titles than Liverpool, just.
Plus have 3 CLs.
But the title is the main one at the beginning of every season. It really is the best team that wins it. Which is certainly not the case with the CL.
If we had won the CL this season I would have been chuffed. But I wouldn't for a moment we were the best team. Not even in Manchester.
The table tells the story, and we all know it.
But for glamour and excitement CL is tops.
And, I've no way of backing this up, but if you took a poll of United fans what they would like to win next year, it would be the title

No we don't all know it. That's your opinion.
The CL is the biggest trophy in club football, the absolute pinnacle, as the best teams from each league in Europe enter it. You say United have won the league the most time so why only three CL wins? It's more difficult to win considering the opposition. Although this season there's an argument against that considering the two best teams in Europe at present are also the two best in England. The only teams those two clubs fear are each other.
Although having won it recently, I'd take the league over it this season, to equal United's record.
It isn't just my opinion though is it.
You would find very few people who would think we were the best team in England if we had somehow won the CL. Simply because we aren't. And there have been times when it wasn't the best team that won the CL, including us. Same as the FA cup.
Mind you Toor, we have this disagreement each time, ano one won't persuade the other.
We have only won it three times because for at least a couple of decades we weren't in it, that was when only champions could enter, and you had a more viable argument imo.

Winning the league after 38 games is much an achievement than winning a couple of tricky games in a cup comp after seeing off a collection of Polish orange growers and Portuguese clock makers
