I’ll say this now: I wouldn’t be too disappointed if we don’t go up this season. I’ve lived the glory years and I think the Championship is a better competition than the prem. I will be disappointed for the younger fans though who have never seen us in the top flight. Whatever happens between now and Sunday I know the club is in the right hands. Recruitment is right, coaching is top rate and so promotion will happen one day soon.

It's got to be this year Red! otherwise the team will get broken up.
I’m with Red, stuff the prem.

Yes but with Coops, Murphy, and the recruitment team we will build another team. Vretzos not interfering these days.
Don’t forget we kick off a bit earlier tonight - 19:00 UK time. Don’t be late.
Potentially a £100m game of football, over 90 minutes with no extra time or penalties. A draw would obviously favour Bournemouth, but wouldn’t see us definitely out of autos, but with both teams having their destiny in their own hands, it’s bound to be edgy. Not sure who the ref is, but I’d imagine he’ll be from the prem, so will therefore favour the home team, with NO VAR to fall back on, it could be a bit of a lottery. The good news should either team lose tonight they’ll get a second chance, albeit via the dreaded play offs. I have total faith in Cooper. Can’t believe how nervous I am and have envisaged just about every score line scenario. It’s too tough to call so will sit on the fence with a 2-2, but hoping we can prevail. Good news for Bournemouth today with Brooks getting the all clear from the big C, hope to see him back playing football again in the not to distant future, he’s a very talented footballer and deserves to play again. Everything crossed for a Forest win, but doubt I’ll enjoy this one very much.
We need to win to go up automatically. A draw would send the Cherries up. Everything is a bonus this season. After 7 games it was season over and I was hoping for championship survival.
We are three points behind with a better goal difference, a draw would mean we had to win at Dull and Bournemouth lose at home to Millwall, on Saturday, but stranger things have happened.
I bet Muff wish they'd fixed that roof now.
Same starting line up as Saturday...
Team News!
exactly the same 18 as played last Tuesday!
I thought that Colback would move back into midfield and Layrea start but that's not the case.
Sorry but I don’t agree with those saying‘stuff the Prem’ etc. It’s been far too long since Forest were a top flight team. Yes, their history doesn’t make them necessarily deserving of promotion since they were last there but on this season’s form they do deserve to get promoted, obviously they need to see it out over the next 2 games at least. The football this season has been generally excellent and if they get promoted one way or the other, they would rightly deserve a crack at the PL. I certainly want to see them play the big boys again, week in, week out. The Championship is exciting yes, but let’s have a change for at least a season.
One other point to add is that I don’t share any idea that going up will mean that Forest will come straight back down this time next year. I think Forest could stand a chance of staying up with the right tactics/ transfers which finally they seem to be getting right.
Oh Sammy, you should have scored that
Not getting any favours from the officials
The officiating has been poor
Nailed on penalty, clearly onside
Couple of good chances, couple of half chances, plenty to be positive about, think Forest will be happiest at half time. Wouldn't be flattering to Forest to be 2 nil up. COYR
The line of the grass showed Surridge was clearly on side, definitely a penalty
Attwell has Keith Stroud officiating skills.
