Great performance, shame we didn't score more to prove it.

Not keen on this conceding late goals thing - we need to get back to scoring late goals instead!

This plays off does have a different feeling in 2010 we expected to beat Blackpool and we underestimated them, and they beat us.

In 2011 our form had been poor going into the playoffs and we did not miraculously improve.

Today felt different, so fingers crossed for Tuesday.

Yes exactly. We were clearly the better team and one mistake right at the end cost us. Hopefully we’ll be even more dominant at home. I thought Surridge was a bit poor today so maybe Davis will start.

I thought Davis didn't look match fit / was a bit rusty. No doubt the reason he brought him on.

What a result though.

I mean winning 2-1 felt like a sucker punch, with that goal giving them hope, but I didn't see them as having much goal threat with their injuries.

I thought we were better all over the pitch.

The only criticism after that performance is the goal we conceded. I'm not saying that Horvath could have done better, but I thought Samba's judgment was in error. Don't get me wrong, Samba was outstanding but fo that error.
But, whatever, we'll take them apart at the WFCG!!

Yes the tie isn't over by any means, as Cooper intimated we will go out and play our usual attacking game.
That's the best way of getting into our stride and not freezing, although being at home with that wall of noise it's more likely to get to the blunts!
We need to put away more of our chances in the second leg.

I get the feeling this ain’t dead. That LMS minute goal really feels like a kick in the teeth, I have absolutely NO idea Samba was doing. A bit of theme in that the last 3 goals we’ve conceded have been both late and easily preventable, Bournemouth, no one picks up Moore after 83, Dull 94th minute freak, and today a 91st minute corner, one of the few that caused us problems. First goal on Tuesday is massive, just hope we don’t go defensive, do what we did today, but be more ruthless.

“No idea what Samba was doing”?
He was being blocked off, same as he was when Surridge headed off the line, and for most of their corners. It’s part of their game plan. Coops will work on it before Tuesday. We need to reduce the number of set plays we give them, including final third throws in.

You’re right about first goal. They get it and it’s game on. We get it and it’s pretty much game over.

I can see a kitchen sink being involved on Tuesday night.

I thought Surridge did well. He missed a couple I’d expect him to tuck away. But his movement was brilliant, constantly pulling his marker wide to make space for Zinc and others through the middle.

Red for me he wasn’t blocked for the goal, for some reason he goes near post, and ends up under the flight of the ball, the irony is, had he just stayed on his line, the ball would have gone straight to him, Samba wasn’t the only one to blame for the goal, Worrall ends up in no man’s land, and for some reason we managed to lose 3 of their players from a corner, just hope it doesn’t repeat itself on Tuesday.

CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFF LOTTERY 2022

Friday May 13th 7.45 - Lutontown 1 Uddersfeel 1

Fell asleep. Sorry. Missis Pie said the game sounded like cattle mobbing a dog.

Saturday May 14th 3.00 - Sheffield Undead 1 Nottm Forest 2

These games do not lend themselves to lengthy analysis, so we'll limit ourselves to this. Forest were by far the better side, and threatened to carbonado the Undead after goals from Jack Colback and Brennan Johnson, but didn't quite complete the task. Forest scored two, but should have scored eight. Perhaps they'll score the other six at the City Ground on Tuesday.
