that should be good enough to keep it down to a 2 or 3 goal loss. Brighton for all their good passing and possession have a lot of trouble scoring, but they probably only need 1.
Raph looked like he wanted to come off….then seemed to have a change of heart…..I think maybe he wanted to bail the sinking ship, then maybe thought it was Pogba esque so signalled he would carry on….then looked annoyed at being taken off - and an awkward embrace with Jesse…..I think he’s ok
Even 1 point from this game may actually leave our destiny in our own hands come final day.

Raph gave up long ago. The Liverpool game was when i first thought this.
Where's our Berardis Pablos, Alioskys. What a a sad lineup. We'll need a miracle and Burnley could do it for us as they have tough games.
Well, at least with two games to go and three more players down in just 3 games, Marsch should have figured out that kicking the opponents into submission isn’t going to succeed.
Teams figure our tactics whatever we throw at them, as our entire season has been marked by a headless chicken approach.
Musing over what has gone wrong, I have personally concluded that on balance, opposition managers figuring out Bielsa’s fairly one-dimensional approach to tactics, in direct combination with injuries has played the biggest part in our downfall. Seeing how every week other teams have approached us and routinely succeeded in closing down our players and harrying them into losing the ball is probably the greatest proof of this.
There’s been a lot of distracting talk about poor recruitment, but early without injuries, seeing how ooor we were early season, suggests that Bielsa’s predictable tactics were a major factor. Marsch tactics at seeing to ensure we lose is even more bizarre.
What I’m saying, is that even had we recruited in January, what guarantee do we have that Bielsa would have integrated them by the time it all went wrong anyway?
One major factor we are failing to consider is wages; are the wages we offer enough to tempt the calibre of player we needed to attract in order to progress. It’s no good m blaming the kids. Even if we brought in say Mason Mount tomorrow or any other first XI kid like him and parachuted him into this squad, they would struggle to impact performances on their own.
It’s certainly an issue we need to throw into the mix, should we preform the great escape in these two games.
For me, until Radz and Orta go and close the door behind them, we’re not going anywhere other than back to obscurity.
Why do people forget that Orta messed up at Middlesbrough before he even came to his and took them straight back down with his equally poor recruitment. He’s believed his own hype and pulling off lucky coups like Raphinha has distorted his view of reality.
Truly, I think it is crucial we survive, as Aston Villa did - just - at the end of their second season on the very last day.
If we stay up I would like a different boss, JM is out of his depth. We need a experienced coach familiar with European football, no disrespect to Jesse who's a nice bloke, but seriously...the man should go back to Wisconsin or Idaho, and run his farm
I think Raphina has flattered to deceive since February this year and after being embarrassed by Everton away his heart was gone from Leeds unfortunately.
Saying that It would be nice for him to at least raise his level for these last 2 games even if he comes off the bench to do it.. we need all the help we can get.
Burnley you would hope only get a point maximum from Spurs and Newcastle but their luck at our expense has given them more points than we all anticipated so I'm expecting them to win their final game meaning if we lose on Sunday, that's it.. all over and what could and should have been will haunt us for probably years to come unless we do what I don't think we have ever done in our history and bounce straight back up.
Depressingly though our record of seasons spent in the lower leagues after being relegated and then promoted to the top league again is an average of eight years...
Horrible thought that isn't it?... The likely prospect of 8 long years slogging it out all over again to get back to the Premier league is heartbreaking when with just a little common sense in January we would surely not be in this position.
All season we have made excuses for why we are in this predicament…Covid, injuries, poor recruitment, training methods, squad depth…and so on.
We’ve slated players, Firpo and Roberts the headliners, but I can’t think of one player who improved this season, or many that were on par…every player to the man has had a poor season in comparison.
well at least with JMs tactics we dont have to worry about all our wingers being out as he liked to play them central anyway. With MB teams ran through the middle of us unopposed and now they run down the sides unopposed. With what we have left i dont see us getting anything against either brighton or brenford unless we bring young archie gray on for his debut and hes the new messi. Now that would be a story but alas these things dont happen to leeds and i am now convinced more than ever that we are cursed. Time to get the gypsy witch back

dont confuse lack of form to not trying
Agree with that LIW. He's trying all right. He can't help
it if his manager plays him at RB. Which was criminal.
Who else would play their best, most creative player
at right back? Madness.
Raphinha was well narked when subbed off against Chelsea. Don't think we can blame him even for a drop in form - all the players have dropped form this season. He's a top attacker playing in a relegation scrap for a team that has an appalling defensive record and is always on the back foot, two-nil down after 5 or 15 minutes, ffs. His reaction to the Ayling red showed he is committed, even if a bit too hot-headed. Raphinha is not the problem.

RB Shack / RCB Llorente / LCB Cooper / LB Hjelde

Klich / Firpo
Rodrigo / Geldhart
Marsch will use Struijk at LB over Hjelde. But, for me
Struijk's confidence needs rebuilding in the summer.
He looks shell shocked poor lad. I'd go Hjelde.
And seeing as though he looks more like a winger than
a defender, I'd play Firpo left side midfield. I'd play Klich
regardless of injuries/suspensions.
And then I'd play Joffy up front with Rodrigo in behind.
* My line-up assumes Raph & Jack can't play.
Honestly when you have shack on the bench but you go with raph as a wing back thats not lack of depth.
That's in the centre of the Atlantic on a sinking ship.

Some good news at last.
Although, knowing Marsch's tendencies he may well
play Jack as a CB alongside Raph at RB.
Not sticking up for him at all but our squad is so small we are having to juggle players out of position.
