Honey, weirdly I had a gut feeling that had Burnley lost to Villa, the players would have banked on us matching their result against Newcastle and not turned up agian at Brentford looking to get a result.
As it is, surely our lot know what’s on the line and give their all to win; surely the penny has dropped.
Remember how they played against, West Ham, Wolves. even away at Villa.
I agree with those who say that having Bamford out there really brings greater coordination to the way the team plays.
On a final note, we have to hold our hands up and say how clearly we have missed Alioski, but all of it is water down the river now.
It hinges on these 90 minutes. As the hours tick by, I feel more and more uneasy about relegation. I think it will be awful for us, yet at the same time we keep seeing Norwich/Fulham getting promoted back immediately.
Well, our final rollercoaster ride is about to start; as fans we’re strapped in and ready to ensure the thrill.
I will give anything for bitten fingernails as we approach 90 minutes and on the cusp of staying up.
It will mean that whatever happened, the boys did us proud on the last game of the season.
Although its a long shot , just want to be ecstatic come 6.30pm tonight, although I've resigned myself to what has appeared to be the 'air of inevitability' for a while now.
Have friend who is a Watford Season ticket holder who laughed at me a number of weeks back when I suggested we might be in trouble before Burnley used their perennial 'get out of jail' card.
Whatever happens today there is so much major overhauling to be done in the summer - Have we got the Strategic plan, Management and leadership to do it?
One final point about Everton - irrespective of the rights and wrongs of their FFP, their players gave everything in the second half against Palace and thoroughly deserved the win. I find the possible Legal challenge as a sour grapes scenario as I will again repeat our final position tomorrow morning will be also thoroughly deserved - no ifs or buts.

Honey, weirdly I had a gut feeling…..

It’s touching that despite the tough season and bickering we’ve had that there’s still a touching tenderness within the ja696 brethren.

Great article Jonty and I am sure one that resonates across the hopes of all our fanbase today.
A defining moment for some of our players today to stand up and be counted and how they will be remembered in some cases.Leave it all out there and maybe just maybe it can be done.
Whenever I look at teams most likely to be relegated its usually the worst goal difference that stands out.We are the under dog's today for sure but anything can happen in these type of games. I think we'll turn them over. And Newcastle will be too good for Burnley.
15 mins to go Bamford does an El CID and keeps us up,
Meaning no disrespect and not wishing to compare football with bereavement, but today feels something like the morning of a funeral.
As for the players who left last summer, I would describe their qualities as the following -
Pablo - invention, guile, playmaker
Berardi - steel, uncompromising, determined
Alioski - energy, passion, character
How badly we need all those qualities this afternoon, qualities which have been lacking in so many matches this season.
Two seasons ago, we gate-crashed the rich man's circus but have since struggled to keep up. Even after last season's 9th place finish, I never felt it was plain sailing - more like punching above our weight.
By the end of today we could be going home again after being found out and falling short.
However, I do believe in miracles - we could really do with one today.
Here's hoping.
Do we think Jesse has been researching some Churchillian speeches to motivate the boys today?
‘We will fight them on the beaches…’
You're going down. And the state you're in will keep you down for a few seasons. You're management and Bielsa facked it up.
Thank you for that pearl of wisdom Ladmin but its sport and its all to play for. Good luck with your max bet today

Naah, they have a decent chance.
Burnley's form is better, and Newcastle have nothing to play for. Leeds got 2 points from their last 5 matches.
But yes, everything is possible I guess.

Burnley are crap.
We're crap.
Both have no form.
Both playing better teams.
So I'd have to say we're staying up.
It's all right there to see.
Obviously.

Yeah pretty much the way I see it.
Providing we don't get 3 sent off in the first 20 minutes we'll smash it.
Burnley are probably the best example ref the difference between club and team in the context of size.
I can understand on today of all days that Leeds fans want to dismiss Burnley, but they've always punched way above their image of a small town club, even Don Revie's Leeds always found them difficult to beat.
Burnley are good example of a small town and club but that doesn't mean you can't build a good team or even a great team, from a small club.
NJS, where have you been? Good to see you posting.
Thanks my friend!
Good to read your posts too, entertaining as usual, haha
Since Eriksen started running their midfield Brentford have been a whole different proposition - that said if we play to our absolute limits we can get something out of this - Raphinha to play a blinder today and walk away a hero.
Just when you think it can't get any worse NJS turns up 😂😂😂
Seriously, Great to have you back Buddy
