How are Roma doing in the league?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does not matter mate, Jose has just won Roma their first Eurooean trophy.
Jose, five European finals, five wins.
Jose, first manager to win all three European trophies on offer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So does your strange love for Jose extend to wishing we won the Europa conference league with some of the worst football I’ve ever seen at spurs over sacking the khant and replacing him with conte and qualification for champions league?
Honestly couldn't care less.
It's not like we would swap being in Premier league for any other league so all good.
Congratulations to Ainsley Maitland Niles for getting a Conference League winners medal under the coaching of the bloke Spurs sacked 1 week b4 a Wembley final

Closet Spurs fan, welcome
I am no way saying Jose was the right guy for us, but if he has taken the club on the verge of winning a trophy, any trophy except the Audi Cup, which is our last trophy Then let him take the charge of the final
Please don't sack him 6 days before a final just so you can save a few bob?
You have to give credit where credit is due. It's the first trophy Roma have won in 14 years. He has now won every European Cup. The first manager to do so.
The guy is a legend and still box office. Would be great to have him back in the prem. He boils the pisssss of so many on here too lol. #KingJose.
Jose is just what Conte will be like in 5 seasons time
It does hurt that he wasn't backed and sacked just prior to him leading us to a final.
We have been City's bogey team and in a final, with Jose's tactical nous, I am sure it won't have been forgone conclusion that City win.
In the end we sacked, toiled with a noob in charge, went to final, played exactly how Jose would have had us play, and without Jose's tactical expertise, the noob manager found himself out of his depth.
The self destruction button that is Spurs.
The absolute revisionism is staggering
Nobody believed for a second that we had a chance of beating city the day before Jose got sacked. If anything there was actually an increased sense of optimism when it happened because people thought we could have a new manager bounce and the players wouldn't want to blow their brains out anymore
We set up in effectively the same way we would have done if Jose was in charge and it's not like we crying out for another week of mourinho led training sessions.
The arguments just come back to a load of waffle about Jose "knowing how to win"

Wait, are you saying Mason has the same tactical experience as Jose?
He was clueless and played his mates, instead of looking at what's happening in the game and having the right players in the mix.
We were all shocked, Jose lovers and the non lovers too as him getting the sack days prior to the final.
That's why no one said anything. Levy's smokes and mirror magic that he makes ludicrous decisions and hides them under other news of the day, and our fans don' t get what's happened.
Yes Mason was just as clueless as mourinho, correct.
So, with the highest ranked club in the competition ( yeah their co efficient score placed then as the first ranked team at the start ) he managed to win what everyone, literally everyone was calling worse than a Micky Mouse cup, whilst laughing their heads off.
In fact the only people who, conveniently, referred to it as a "major" European trophy, were Leicester fans when they were relegated into it
Based on rankings, winning it was no different to the number one ranked tennis player winning Wimbledon. The rankings say they should win.
But, the main question is, why is anyone bigging up Jose ? Do we really want him back as our manager, over Conte, just because he won a cup that the ranking says he should have won. And did you all watch last night's game. Frankly it was dire, with zero quality on show, Oh and the usual awful commentary to grind on your nerves for the whole 90 +5 minutes. Robbie Savage with all his in depth football knowledge and a commentator who thought only Tammy Abrahams was actually playing.
Nah, they can keep him. He killed us like he did Utd. More than happy with what we have now..

Not going to bother to reply to this as my beef isn't with Jose, but with the club and Levy's self destruction decisions he takes and how he dresses them up so he can get away with them.
Sacked Poch after a period of overachievement on a shoestring and without fully backing the manager, is totally embarrassing decision.
Then we start nosediving and Levy again makes some stupid decisions. Goes after Mourinho because he's been trying for years we are told to get the man. Mourinho didn't fit the culture at Spurs. Spurs want to see exciting football and win something. Jose almost achieved winning something but we won't know for sure now.
Then gets Nuno in...I mean what is that all about? After having given the reign to Mason, who had 0 managerial experience?
Might as well as give it to the gilet man!
Lucky he recruited Conte...Stumbled on him I think!
Can’t really be bothered with this but I’ll just say Jose had to go.
Players wasn’t playing for him & he been walloped 3-0 Just a month beforehand.
Also if you think about sacking started s chain reaction to where we are today which is a lovely happy Tottenham
I am personally very happy Spurs got Conte, but the disrespect to one of the greatest managers of the 21st century is staggering.
Jose is, and always has been a serial winner, and for that deserves at least some respect. He may not be quite at the top of the tree now, but he will go down as one of the greatest ever managers in football history.
Am I glad we got Conte? Yes very.
Was I staggered that we got rid of a serial winner manager 6 days before a cup final? Yes I was.
We beat City away after losing at home to Southampton and Wolves this season so although unlikely we could of beaten City in that final had the man who got us there been allowed to manage the team instead of a boy who was completely out of his depth.

Sandy,
He is a completely divisive and populist keeeent. Honestly he was bathing in past successes and his ego was a serious issues.
I'm absolutely staggered there are still an army of Jose disciples still knocking about. The guy was poisonous, divisive and way, way past his sell-by-date in a fast moving football world and no third-rate expected victory in the Conference League is going to change my opinion on that.
It's already been reported that, under his tenure, there was a major drop off in fitness from what he inherited under Poch and what he passed on to Nuno. Even his training isn't up to scratch. The guy is a dinosaur and he's getting too much credit in the bank now for success in a different era. His "success" with Roma doesn't count. That's a par performance. There was no credible opposition.
What Conte has achieved without a preseason with a largely inherited side far outweighs what Jose has done this season. He inherited a side that finished 7th and took them to 6th. Well done.
He was also reasonably backed by the club so this isn't on Levy. We bought PEH, Doherty, Reguillon, Bale, Vinicius, Rodon, Bergwijn, Fernandes amongst others. We had a lot of really good attacking players yet his tactic was always to hand the opposition the ball and when we get it, lump it up to Kane for flick ons. That was his way.
I don't give a damn that he didn't win anything with us. I'm just glad the guy is gone and do you know what? No pathetic little League Cup victory would have changed my mind on that. It would have been like Ramos' tenure and no one in their right mind should look back on those years with any kind of fondness.

All of this and what Christopher said. Some strong revisionism going on here. I was fairly happy when Jose came in because we’d never had a coach that successful before but it was patently clear quite early on that he was no just a stale tribute act to his former self. I remember the 1-1 draw with Wolves in his second season at Molineux, quite possibly the most wretched, dull, and uninspiring Spurs performance I have ever seen. Didn’t watch another game after that until he was sacked. As much as I love Spurs life is just a little too short to be wasting it on late era Mourinhoball.
I think a lot of people: mk, fridge, Chris and abc have got it right and are remembering what actually happened. I don’t think him winning the European Johnstone Paint trophy changes anything
Yep, and all that without even mentioning his habit of stripping the confidence of the more sensitive characters. This age old line about it "being a man's game" won't work anymore. if you publicly slam people, it's going to hurt. He was doing it at United and he started doing it with the Spurs lads. A happy group of people, be it in football or in any kind of business, will perform better. I hated Jose. Really, really hated the guy.
The hatred for Jose as soon he has was hired was unreasonable.
Lets not forget Harry Kane had his best season to date in terms of numbers under Jose. Son flourished too.
Who did Jose slam at Spurs? Dele? Look at the state of him now. He needed it more than anyone. Still does.
I remember when people were throwing the whole Luke Shaw argument around. He did well last season too.
As for any Spurs fan disrespecting any trophy. Wow just wow. No shame at all.
At no point have I said the club weren't right to bin him off it was the timing that was stupid.
We should have kept him until the end of the season instead of having the silly few weeks of Masons management.
Whether you like the bloke or not he got us to the lc final and should have led us out that day.
Cannot fathom why supporters of a club that have won just two trophies in 31 years can have a pop at a serial trophy winner like Mourinho. However divisive he may be perceived to be. He is the one thing seriously lacking at Sprus right now. HE WINS TROPHIES.
I canot stand Jose and have never liked him since he arrived at Chelsea. He just not likable in his football manager mode. Although I understand he is the nicest bloke you will ever come across away from football.
Having said that you cannot argue with the bloke he is a born winner and has won something at every club he has been at except with us... yeah maybe he would have won the cup last season but Levy knew had he won we may have had to keep him and it was already getting toxic....... and we know how that ends at every club hes been at except Porto I guess.
Whethere we like it or not he has something and delivers throphies regardless if we like his way or not.....
