Max wins. Easy.

Expecting Ferrari to clean up in practice but the RB to dominate on Sunday. That back straight is right up RB's street, no chance Leclerc or ..... well there's nobody else, will survive a DRS boost down there v Max/Perez.

Box rbs have new engines aswell, said a few weeks ago these next 3 races will be on high speed tracks so makes sense to change them now

Ferarri always bossing practice. Perez is steadily getting very close to Verstappen if not better.

Think that leclerc lap was massively boosted by a tow down the straight, qualifying will be interesting as u can probably gain 0.5 seconds if u can nab a tow down the main straight, could depend when and where u go out onto the track

Getting more and more puzzled how merc have turned a basically world champion car into this? Imagine if merc had kept up with red bull the battles this year with all 6 drivers

They had to built a completely new car. So their engine may be fast, if the chassis doesn't hack it you have a problem.

Vettel never finished outside of P2 in Baku. That'll be gone Sunday but 9th in FP2 shows he really is decent there. Alonso P4 too, Alpine look handy.

Vettel & Alonso' race trim pace on medium tyres looking stronger than usual in the practice session (especially on the long straight to the finish line, which is critical in Baku) matching Mercedes, wait and see if that will translates into the actual race day on Sunday.


Race trim order on tyres in Practice Session 2:

RedBull
Ferrari

Vettel
Mercedes
Alonso

Of course, there will be tweaks and set-up changes which may change the order going into the final practice session, see if that will have a negative or positive effect.
Mercedes will hope for the latter, massively down on power in the straights (which could be due to using a lower engine mode as well).

Thing is aswell I've seen alot of merc fans saying once they catch up it will be a 3 horse race, it won't not this year as they seem to be forgetting they not only have to catch up but the other 2 are improving so the gap imo will be too big to make up this year

Also alpine looks like they have turned the engine upto max, they were 20kph faster in the straight than merc which is ridiculous considering both were using drs
