Deemed not good enough for Middlesborough 1 year ago now 20m after a decent season in the Championship.

Spurs are apparently challenging for the league this year. Weird that they can't sign a player from the second tier!

I saw an interview with Chris Wilder where he said he had advised the board the value of the player. This i find laughable as if he valued him that highly he would not have sent him on loan. The anecdote that I gave could equally apply to Wilder/Gibson as it does Levy....Stubborn inflexiable hard negotiators not prepared to give an inch until they have to....It often becomes a battle of egos and loses a bit of rationality .

Spence will be a Forest player next season

United already panicking and will probably offer Erisken a place on the board, a dividend pay out, veto on transfers and part ownership of the club, just to convince him to come to United over Brentford.

Ahh! Was it Warnock. I suppose Wilders hands were tied then by the time he arrived.

Still, i think there's a bit of opportunism in play here...Spurs have money and Boro will eek out as much as they can.

If Forest have £15m to offer and are the only competition I guess we wont offer any more just because we have some burning a hole. While some owners might, Mr Levy will stick to his guns and grind them down...this does just leave the door open for others though. Fingers crossed, I really want him at Spurs

Going big has worked out well for both clubs in the past. You Pepe and us Ndombele lol.

Fact is no one knows how Levy negotiates so you are assuming alot but I read the price in January was quoted at £10m and now it has risen but still in the teens north of £15m.

Apparently the lad only wants us so Levy is well within his rights not to get fooked over.

I would also walk away if they are asking to much. He is after all only a Championship player that was out on loan to another Championship club. So he may be a complete flop if he steps up to the Prem.

I don't blame Levy for being cautious.

Spurs

Pay the extra couple of million up front and not in add ons if Conte really wants him.

Let’s all go to the ground next season and try haggling for food drinks and merchandise if you buy it
