I agree with this artilcle. I hate internationals! It just delays your inevitable defeat in your next game
Same I hate it as well, for me International football should be scrapped altogether but thats another argument.
International breaks are almost like going to the Dentist/Doctor after having not been for a couple of years. Praying that you don't have to have any teeth removed or be operated on etc and you just get the all clear. That's what it's like with players and injuries for me anyway.
Where it not for Ghana and that stupid tournament Essien wouldn't have the problems he does today and he could have played until he was 35/36. As it is he'll be lucky to make it to 31
I just know our key players will come back injured. And for what? Just for Ingerland fans to treat them like the Earth beneath their feet
I'm one of those annoying types that thinks we should get behind the national team.. it's football representing the country I was born in - what's not to support?
We've only got Walker and Parker in the team anyway - it'll be good for Walker and we've got Sandro in case Parker's injured
Typo in paragraph 2 by the way
Bubbles, i would be happy if International football was scrapped and i wouldn't miss it either
the sooner they pull the plug on international football the better for all concerned.
its a joke to be honest and 90% of people couldnt care less.
at least it gives some time for gallas to get back, as we are thin at CB, and also peinaar too.
@ Bales, yeh but i'm not just talking about England.......We also have players like Modric etc who will be playing for there country and could get injured, really get's on my nerves!!! What typo?
That's the thing Chronic, Most people would happily choose club over country........as Benitez says, It's a fact!!!
i dont even watch england games any more. infact i barely even know when its on or who its v... i literally have no idea who england are playing this weekend lol

gimp wilshere plays for england. therefore i cannot support that team.
Those Arsenal fans abusing Redknapp and shouting vile abuse at him will be the same ones cheering him and singing his praises when he becomes England boss. Same with a lot of our fans, most of our fans hate Gerrard when he is playing for Liverpool and slate him, yet when he puts on an England shirt they will sing his name to the high heavens.
for people who agree with me!
hang on...
Bandwagon
although i have to say i do have a soft spot for some international teams.
like the samba boys, and also i like some of the african sides for their all out attack and lack of any defensive ability
Sorry you guys (Chronic & Bubbles - you're usually quality posters) but to say you can't support England because of your passion for your teams is nonesense! Chronic - I'm sure you cheer when Adebayor scores for Spurs, Bubbles - I'm sure sure you'd cheer if Torres scored for Chelsea.. what's the difference?
I put it to you that it's because England have been poor of late to say the least, and you say you don't care because it's easier than admitting you do care, but we're rubbish.

this is not applicable seeing as spurs have been terrible for most of my life... infact all of my spurs supporting time apart from the last few seasons really but i still care.
if you care you care, and nothing will ever change that.
if you dont then you just dont.
Fair enough Chronic, i'm not gonna force you!
Was just trying to point out that every fan accepts a rival player when they sign for their club, England should be no different

yeah... i know what you mean.. i just cant get up for international football.. never have been able to..... used to like the tournaments at least but lately i have found them very boring indeed
Fair enough fella, I understand where you're coming from - international football has lost it's edge.
For me the corruption in international football has got to a point I don't believe in the major tournaments anymore But where does that leave the rest of football? Another thread for another day methinks.
Honestly though, if we won the Euros would you not be a little bit pleased?
Personally I am 100% behind the international team. However the only International games I enjoy are when the Euros & WC are on. Otherwise it bores me to death
I support England because it's the country I was born in and I love football.. if only FIFA loved football as much as money.
I far prefer the England rugby team though. Real respectable bunch, whereas I find myself hating more of the England football as individuals than liking them.
I hate that wear the internationals. I loathe this bunch of low life that wear the England shirt.
The only good thing about the International break is the betting!!
Thats it
