he won me a fortune in bets, great signing

not in the same league as Boyata, Ajer, CCV or Starfelt though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
7m for 1 season - 37 games, looks likely he will leave on a free if JFK is correct.

yup great signing .... more like this please

Looks like jullien is away - was brilliant for us until his injury - a few big goals including the late winner against Laziio but will always be remembered for the league cup we stole

----------------------------------------------------------------------

That and wetting the bed every time he had to play against Lyndon Dykes on that plastic pitch.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he's been a flop signing.

most expensive defender ever signed in scotland I assume celtic will take a decent hit on him.

We wont hear about this one in the trading model I suspect !

He was ok as a defender, not even close to being worth the price
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disappointing the way it panned out with the injury but he was very good for us. Wasn’t a buy young/sell high example to be fair. Feel a bit sorry for him that it’s known as the Morelos final rather than the jullien final
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ange clearly doesnt think he is up to it it would seem.

thought he would have seen a bit more football last year, Ange seems to rate Walsh higher
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh seems that way whodunnitange might have been happy to have him as back up but if jullien is unhappy with that then off he goes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
in addition to this he was one of the high earners, im sure Ange wants to re-invest those wages into another CB.

rejoining the EU will sway a lot of people i think, in one way or another.

I still think the country will vote no, and if we do then we should just accept it.

If we can't get a yes vote right now when this lot are running the UK then we won't ever get one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I doubt the EU would admit entry as they’ve be seen to be complicit in breaking up a national union. One they fought against in Spain.

The process even if it did happen would take many years and would have the same issues as the NI mess.

Can’t see it to be honest.

Same with NATO.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That makes no sense ginger - the noises from the EU/Government were just that. Bulgaria and Romania were recent additions - absolutely no reason why Scotland would not be admitted. As for NATO - it is a given that Scotland would sign up (and be welcomed).

Westminster is a mess, never works for us.

I want rid of the SNP as well but one is an issue that's been going for hundreds of years and will never be solved the other can be voted out in an independent country.

This 100%

I'd love to hear someone make an argument as to why an independent country - let's use Ireland as an example - should look to join the union of the United Kingdom.

I think it would be a really interesting and thought provoking exercise.

They could help liberate countries with vast oil reserves and weapons of mass destruction.

Uganda has just discover vast gold deposits.
I expect one of the First World countries to go there and liberate their gold from them.

expect another cb will come in on loan if he goes.

Surprised that Jullien is going on loan with option to buy? Thought this was the last year of his contract? Anyway Celtic now is the time to go get Itakura

most likely cos with an option to buy even if celtic extend his contract they can still purchase him. And if the team he goes to dont want him but he does very well on his loan and has other interest celtic can extend the deal and then sell him rather than lose for free.

All this is under the assumption that he has a year extension clause that the club can trigger ?

Schalke in tatters but still a decent move for him. Ange was clear, if you're not happy then GTF. No bad apples in the dressing room face tripping them like Griffiths.

Aye the way it was veing reported was it was the last year if his contract so there must be an extension option. Anyhoo be another big wage earner of the books to allocate elsewhere.

Yesterdays discussion but the data from player trading. Not scoring points on Rangers but the serious point that making profits on player sales is essential to offset the operating loss else we'd be making an overall loss almost every year - 2nd chart.

Speaking of Fudface Griffiths, did anyone see his stuff in the press the other day saying how he keeps in touch with Ange and we will be ok if we don't get Jota as Forrest is the best in that position 🤣

I don't think i can stand to watch another season of forrest absolutely schite it out of 70/30's never mind 50/50's.

he is by far the biggest schitebag i've ever seen at celtic.

Very happy with that if we get him for 2m, looks like he’d be a good option as backup to Morelos, and effectively replaced Itten.

Means Roofe could be an option play off Morelos again too, but hoping our main target is a rw

Which is exactly their stance to date.

Might be because I’m a wee bit older (wee bit ya bastrirts) but back when I can hardly remember all the signing talk over the close season?

I get that the internet and increased media interest do drive it but only a few signings from back then come to mind, usually first game was when we would discuss them now we wake up and there can be a dozen rumours floating about
