You have to be high grade buffoon to think I have anger towards individuals I have never met and we merely converse here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some would argue that's you'd have to be angry to start calling someone a "high grade buffoon" though.

I put the word "you seem" as you do come across as an angry individual, quick to name call the moment someone has an opinion that differs from yours. Maybe you are not angry, but you seem it. Make sense?

To be losing a player capable of giving you 25-30 goals because this team is not up to it should be sending alarm bells around OT. I am so happy this guy came back and now demanding to leave. Some idiots here will have you believe this is for the greater good of this club, waffling about ego.

Top players that win top trophies have big egos. The likes of Benzema, Lewa and Salah winning trophies. They win trophies because they are coached by competent managers and play for competent teams, but united failing is apparently because of the serial winner Ronaldo supported by Mctominay, AWB and the likes of Maguire. You just have to laugh
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ralf couldn't get the team to press with Ronaldo in it. ETH won't be able to either. There is no real point in keeping him for one season and ETH having to either change his tactics, or marginalise Ronaldo to play how he wants to play - which will just cause a circus. Best for all if he leaves.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Correction, Ralph is a poor manager!! Whilst some prima donnas gave up and questioning his ability as a coach, the one person that kept playing and bailing out a poor poor coach at most times was Ronaldo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The fact that he can still score doesn't alter the fact that he can't press the ball like Ralf and ETH want. It's no disrespect to Ronaldo - it is just the reality. Just because Ronaldo scored a lot of goals doesn't mean that is to the benefit of the team. Just look at how many goals we scored last season in comparison to the previous year. There were always concerns when we signed Ronaldo that it would be to the detriment of the team, and unfortunately that is how it has panned out.

Again incorrect. Many people voice their reasons for wanting Ronaldo to depart, some I understand and some I don't.

Okay I seem it.

Ralf couldn’t get the team to press because they were not willing, no fit enough or not coached well enough to do so effectively.

There were plenty of examples of Ronaldo working hard and pressing, chasing up front.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is bewildering the attention placed on this lack of pressing. Heck put Mctominay up front he will press alright
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The furthest man forward is the trigger to press. If he doesn't press the the whole system goes out of the window. Its not bewildering at all. It is a very basic point.

With crowds back, near every team back to full fitness, we ended up right where the shower of shiiit players we have deserve to finish. But whatever suits your agenda.

…..

The crowds were the same for everyone else. More context for you. Have another go. I have all morning to play with you.

You don't know what Erik wants and he has certainly not come out to say he does not want Ronaldo. Pep wanted Ronaldo. Top managers work with top players, and if Erik is a top manager, I am pretty sure he has no issues with working with Ronaldo.

Ralph is a poor manager ergo he stank the place.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This!

The issue you face when you have Ronaldo as your number 9 is that the opposition CB's just don't make mistakes as often as they simply don't get pressed.

I could see why the new Chelsea owners would want Ronaldo but I bet Tuchel doesn't fancy it at all.

City *supposedly* wanted Alexis Sanchez and Fred too. I reckon they practised looking disappointed in front of the mirror without cracking up.

Yeah I’ve always been dubious about City’s supposed interest in Sanchez, Fred, Maguire and Ronaldo. It’s as if they know we’re completely useless and have no idea what we’re doing.

Number 3 in premier league scorers list when you have likes of Lukaku and Kane here is not a "top player"

What a place JA606.

And City would not have won the league if they bought Ronaldo. The great mind that is VC reckons an elite manager like Guardiola would've struggled with an elite scorer like Ronaldo.

How they will play is not my problem. What I know and what evidence tells me is that if a manager can win a league with no recognised striker would have had no issue taking his team to a league title with a player that scored 18 goals being fed by Mctominay and Fred.

I wouldn't expect you to get it. You have your head so far in delusion land you can't see past his flaws.

He scores goals but that comes at a huge price.

But Ronaldo isn’t a Pep player in the slightest. He might be an ‘elite striker’ but if he can’t put in the leg work that Pep requires then he won’t work. Pep had a similar issue when Barca bought Ibra.

posted on 4/7/22

Wake up and smell the coffee. City have a top back line. A top midfield. 9 times out of ten they were flogging teams left, right and centre. They have possession of the ball most of the time.... but of course with Ronaldo they will have less possession, score less and more vulnerable, thus lose the league in your head. God help us man

Ibra was not a Barcelona player at the time. This City team is not that Barcelona team. I suppose Pep is wrong for going for him and you are right not a pep player

posted on 4/7/22

They won the league by 1 point didn’t they? Not that odd to suggest playing someone who doesn’t fit Pep’s system at all could cause City to lose a couple points at least over a season.
