Tom Lawrence going to Glasgow Rangers. If ever there was a curate's egg of a player, it was him. Capable of brilliance, most notably last season, but also incredibly frustrating in his decision making and moments of loss of self-control. And he will probably be remembered for Joinersgate above anything else. Now that he is off to Scotland we might not ever see what sort of reception he would get on a future return to Pride Park. VC and one or two others will be sorry about that I'm sure.

I must say I don't think League 1 would have suited TL and he was never likely to stay. I do agree that he was never consistent enough. Shame we cannot get some sort of a fee for him.

I'm not so sure that Curtis will be signing..

Lawrence will be fine as long as he goes somewhere that doesn't have a heavy drinking culture. Otherwise, his career is probably over.
